The c***'s probably having his pic taken at the Ricoh as we speak. Not with their transfer embargo he's not. If it wasn't a joke (which it is). Could he still sign on loan even though he doesn't have a club? On loan from who?

Tempted to say he's found his level. Never been too impressed with him at NUFC.

He'll love stevenage, it'll suit him down to the ground. Total shithole populated by arseholes. My mate got beaten with a belt there for the heinous crime of waiting for a train.

I kind of miss that 'group of lads'. There was a tangible spirit around the club and you got that feeling it wasn't just a job for them. So rare in modern football but be thankful we had it again for a little while.

They're losing millions season on season. No way they'll be self sustainable in 3 years.

Good pro, wish him all the best. Did a good job for us when we needed him.
  8. Won't we have work permit problems trying to sign young Colombian players?

Just seems weirdly excessive tbh. They've got threads with people actually getting banned from games for standing and I haven't heard of that at other clubs.

What's the deal with them and standing at the match? I don't hear much talk about it on here or any other football forums I visit yet it seems a regular point of contention over there. Are their stewards complete bastards or something?
  11. We've won away, we've come from behind to win, only one left now. Think these will be a different proposition from last season. Under Laudrup (and with Michu) they seem to have the cutting edge they were missing under Rodgers so i'm not sure we can go backs to the wall and weather it again. We also look much better going forward now too though so i'll go for a score draw (2-2) or a narrow Swansea win (2-1).

Shola running and baked bean head actually on a football pitch. It's like someone found a picture of a yeti having tea with the tooth fairy.
  13. He got you to give him your money and has just cashed in to the tune of £100m as well as £125m profits this year. That's not savvy business?

HBA is a Ferrari. You don't take it to the local Vauxhall garage to get fixed. If he's happy sorting himself out in France, then let him go. If that means he takes one or two games to get back into peak condition then I think we can afford him that. Especially with the Jan investments. Newcastle United are a premier league club and one of the bigger ones at that. If our treatment facilities are akin to a vauxhall garage then there's something very very wrong.

Some of our posters over there are a bit cringe inducing at times.

  18. Exactly. I don't understand why goal line decisions should be so special, when many other game-deciding decisions will not be subject to review. They should just have a video referee permanently reviewing pictures, constantly in radio contact with the ref, and be done with it. Well IMO, decisions which historically could go one way or another were not subject to the subjective assessment of the referees/officials for the lulz, it was because there was no way to objectively know whether the ball had crossed the line or not. This is no longer the case and it is a very remediable deficiency of the game. There's nothing inherently nostalgic or sentimental about s*** disallowed goals or goals that never were We'll probably always argue the toss over tackles etc, and that's fine. This isn't like that though whatsoever IMO. It is black and white. Anyway, I wonder if this will eventually be implemented at every professional level of the game. There are plenty of other decisions which are clear-cut. Notably offsides, wrong corners. I don't see how they can justify not using technology for them too if videos become involved. Offsides aren't clear cut. Look at Cisse's second from the other night, even after the replays, still frames etc etc people are still split over whether or not it was offside. With the ball crossing the line there's no room for subjectivity, it either crossed the line or it didn't.
  19. Been impressed with him so far. Seems very direct with his running and has pace with it. Just what we needed.
  20. Hope Obertan is on the left, he seems to play much better on that side.

Throw HBA into that front line we have now and it could be something really special. Can't wait to see him back and see what he can do with movement and talent around him.

    Alan Pardew

It doesn't depress me, like. Though I think I differ from many on here in thinking no game is lost before it's started. Very few think a game is lost before it's started. After half time team talks, subs and tactical tinkering however.......
  24. I can't see the picture so it looks to me like you're calling Sam Matterface a 'filthy little minx man'. Disturbing but not entirely unexpected Can't see us doing anything of note. Maybe Xisco out / Mbabu in but pretty much sod all else.
