Graham Carr?
He's 68.
Yes, I was alluding to the possibility that Graham Carr, our chief scout with encyclopedic knowledge of french football, might have recommended Rene Girard.
QPR is a tricky one to predict though. They've been relegated so they might not give a shit but it's also their last home game so they might want to go out on a high for the fans. Depends on whether Saggy Chops can motivate them I suppose.
Problem with the bookies is they'll be adjusting their odds based on what people are slinging their money at. Few people outside NUFC fans seem to truly grasp how absolutely dire we are so there likely won't be too much going on us which will keep the odds up.
I'd price us at around 2/1, Villa evens and Wigan 1/2 as things stand now. Can't see any further than us 3 teams for that last trapdoor spot.
Just adding one little word to this thread title would make so many people so happy. I know that's a downside for Dekka but hopefully he'll do it anyway and live with the pain of doing something nice for us.
Cabaye as player/manager for 3 games Or Obertan, he has to have a huge brain in there, maybe he's one of those who was a crap player but a great manager. We could get him early! Gabby will lead us in a 60 year domination of English football using his grotesquely massive cranial capacity to win us trophy after trophy until finally succumbing to gravity and fracturing his own skull trying to shout at our hover forward for not using his laser right.
I just read Pardew's quotes on nufc.com. I wish I hadn't. So much turd but this one tickled me:
Guess we were pretty fucking shipshape and trim for the first three then?
Finished bottom half in his first season with us. Managed to wank up a top ten finish in the space of twenty minutes by bringing Alan Smith on against West Brom.
Weird to think a 20 minute cameo by Smith cost us something like £2.5m
Not so sure about that. We're a big club with 50,000+ through the doors each home game. We're profitable (should be to the tune of about £25m a year with the new TV money) and well run financially. We've got great facilities (and a borehole!!!) and a team full of internationals and up and coming young players. Fair enough, the continental recruitment setup might put off some of the usual suspects but we dont want them anyway.
I think plenty of managers would jump at the chance to take this job.
Mathematically, given the mackem and Liverpool results, the Arsenal score will be either 0-9 or 0-12, and either of those will cause a riot.
Surely...?
It'd shut the mackems up about 9-1 anyway.
Agree. You look at our last two home games and you have to think nobody could really do any worse. Maybe Beardsley or Carver for the last 3 games then get someone decent in.
He was shite but I can't really bring myself to blame the players 100%. Yes, they were rubbish and must take some of the blame but right now we're complaining the windows are dirty while the walls are falling down.
