Why are you so scared of losing?
-
Remarkably stalky, sounds like you were following him
-
I think we've looked decent. Hope we dont try and sit on it.
-
Twice this season we've had runs of four losses and a draw in 5 games. I'm not taking anything for granted until the points are on the board.
-
I notice nobody stuck up for Stu when IP called him a c*** Just rename this the meltdown thread and be done with it. That's what it'll be for the next few weeks anyway.
-
You're so gullible, you'll always give him another game. Thought I'd got away with a couple of pages without attracting an idiotic insult there. FWIW I wasn't commenting on anything other than these quotes. If 'gullible' is an insult now then the world is really getting bloody precious. It's not exactly nice is it?

If he is saying fan reaction was over the top I think he's wrong. But I don't know that he is, he might just be trying to downplay the situation in general, or be referring to pundits etc. In context that whole interview doesn't read too badly. At least when he talks about Sunderland he also admits we'll have to carry our own burden of defeat. Reads better than each line in isolation. That is just as bad. I see what you're saying, yes and no IMO. Obviously he should be impressing on the players how dire the situation is, but in public he needs to make it sound like everything is calm. At the end of the day the performance against WBA will be the telling thing. If we lose then it'll be because Marveaux and Tiote are out, you know it. I'm gonna take a punt on an outsider this week and go for 'wind'. In fact, we should have an excuse poll thread each week. Overall winner gets a tin of spam.

How many defeats have you inflicted on them, Alan? The stadium, the riots, the horse punching, the week of despair and he still doesn't get it.

I'm not sure he could spot a good coach, or even if he did wouldn't be threatened by him. He'd much rather have around him people he knows are below him and have no chance of challenging him. What brings you to this conclusion? f*** off muppet. RTGtastic A lot of the stuff I've read on here the past couple of days has been tbh. Depressing. You when lose to the SMB, become you the SMB You can be wireside then. Watch your letterbox marra.

"Yeah, that's it, float it in, don't ping it. Willo, Tayls, go for the back post, they'll never see this coming." -
We're playing s*** and the best he can come up with is to train somewhere else because it can't be his methods. Turns out it has nothing to do with playing s**** or shaking up the regime according to the Journal Bigger fences will fix that. And running faster and jumping higher of course. And a borehole.
-
what does this mean, he's just moved the location? We've been talking about pass and move, compressing the play, getting Cabaye forward and getting Tiote playing again and getting some patterns and game plan going again when the solution all along was to go train somewhere else. Must be those pesky spies.

The ball doesn't have to be in the quadrant anyway. As long as part of the ball overhangs part of the quadrant marking it's cool.

I hope he gives Cabaye a bit more license to get forward in this one, I don't think we need 2 defensive midfielders. If he could get Tiote back to doing what he did so well when he first arrived, i.e. sit in front of the back four, break things up and give it simple then Cabaye can focus on doing what he does best which is get forward and create something. Let's have a bit of adventure and a lot less cowardice please. -
As in, sacking people before they've had a decent chance. Reacting too soon to downturns etc. Although TBF I would have to admit that a lot of our previous errors have been bad appointments as much as sackings. 2 years is a pretty decent 'chance' like. He's shown nothing to make me think he'll improve. Get a new man in and give him preseason to get to know the players, a full summer transfer window to bring in the right players to fit his vision and a good few months to get things right on and off the training pitch. Or we could just sack him a few games into the season so all the good managers are employed and the shite we bring in has to hit the ground running with players he doesn't know and Pardew's picks from the window.
-
Don't forget that at the time of this 8 year contract he was flying high and being touted as a possible england manager. The 8 years just means we would get a big compensation payment if anyone tried to poach him (not likely now, is it?). There'll be break clauses that will limit our exposure in the event of sacking him.l

It's mackems so their great great great great great great great great grandchildren will be telling our great great grandchildren in the year 2120 "3-0, marra. FTM"
-
Really? Because I haven't said anything like that and you're bracketing me in the that group. No need to trash others just because they have a different opinion to you.
-
In terms of results last season was excellent but the football was still turgid for the most part. As for that list, he's had 2 years to accomplish those things, all of which are the basics you'd expect from any half decent manager, and is he any further forward? I have zero faith in him as the man to improve us as a team.

'Luiz regrets his popper binge the night before as Aguero loses a boot.'

I voted a 5 simply because of our woeful away form and the fact we have two difficult home fixtures. Liverpool we never get ball all off, Arsenal are playing well so they're a tricky proposition. We've won one in 16 away from home with 5 draws. That's 0.5 points per game away from home. If we get bugger all off Arsenal and Liverpool and our away form continues to, er, form, then we'll get another 1.5 points leaving us on 37-38 points. That's why I give us 50/50 to go down. If we can get anything from one of our home games then I think we should be ok but it's by no means certain and we're still in a very dangerous position.

Need to stop fighting each other and focus our anger where its deserved, Pardew (and Mike).
