  1. Beyond money I can't see any reason to choose Man United over Spurs in 2018. One club's going backwards and the other's overtaking them on and off the pitch. I wouldn’t if I was Poch, but I’d wager he will. As much as many hate to admit it, they’re still the biggest club in England and arguably the world. Liverpool’s squad when Klopp arrived compared to now is testament to what the right investment can do. It won’t happen overnight but I reckon if he goes they’ll be challenging for titles again within 2 years. He’s a fantastic manager and does tick the (cliched) box of what Manchester United have been about for years (obviously ignoring the shambles of the last 4/5).
  2. They’ll still win this Liverpool. Man Utd are tragic.
  3. I don't think he is anymore. The position is much more than it used to be and although I'd say he's the best shot-stopper in the world, that's as far as it goes. Just different opinions really. These ball-playing goalkeepers are fashionable at the moment but even then, I’d have Ederson over Alisson. Admittedly Alisson starts for Brazil (to my knowledge) but based on what I’ve seen I prefer Ederson.
  4. De Gea is comfortably the best keeper in the league. Like the rest of Man Utd’s squad, low on form and confidence. He’s the best in the world.
  5. Can’t stand Klopp to be honest. Charasmatic yes, cringeking yes. Everything he does is for the cameras. If they win the league we won’t hear the end of it for years. Regarding City, couldn’t stand them until Pep to be honest. Love the way they play.
  6. Hope Man City absolutely smash Liverpool at the Etihad in the new year. Absolutely sick of the Liverpool love in. One of the best non-NUFC related moments in the Premier League was watching Gerrard slip. Absolutely poetic.
  7. Guess who wins again. Fucking pathetic and Michael Martin is an absolute prick.
  8. Out of interest, does anybod fancy Liverpool for the league? Riding their luck and have not yet played as well as we know they can, whereas Man City are top minus De Bruyne. Suppose a lot will depend on the Champions League. Liverpool may write off Europa if they don’t beat Napoli.
  9. Ki the game changer. Fernandez class again. Onwards and upwards. Missed this feeling.
  10. I fucking hate them and couldn’t even begin to imagine the wankfest if they won it. Hoping they get Real Madrid next and Ronaldo bums them back into their attention seeking, murdering holes. Great to watch though. I actually fancy them to win it, or at least get to the final. They have nobody to fear.
  11. Aye, think these will win today.
  12. Women presenters/commentators. Realise this is probably going to come across really sexist (something I’m definitely not) but the whole thing feels really forced in light of the publicity the equal pay/jobs/work etc that’s been in the press quite a lot lately. I just can’t get away with a women’s voice commentating on men’s football and the push for women to be involved in the men’s game. It’s a recipe for disaster. Women’s football is on the rise let’s just keep it at that. Probably sound a cunt but it really gets on my tits. Sorry...my nerves.

    Paul Dummett

Nice touch when Dummett got a round of applause from the corner/Gallowgate. Really like him.
  14. Who with? I’ll have a bit of that!
  15. Would much rather a team was picked on merit/stats rather than persisting with the same players and formula constantly. See Pardew, Alan.
  16. Was Dummett bad on Wednesday? Can’t say I noticed to be honest. Seemed solid enough.
  17. Been class since Lascelles chinned him. Good on him. Was like a 2012 Yaya Toure last night!
  18. Gave him the benefit of the doubt all season, but I hope I never see him in black and white again. He’s fucking shit and cost us many times.
  19. Eh, we have had talks with West Ham for Carroll (Sky)?! Put off apparently.
  20. Contrary to reports over Christmas, we confirmed on Sunday takeover negotiations remained ongoing between Amanda Staveley and NUFC. Staveley setting up a new company that looks suspiciously like the holding company she used to buy Manchester City has sparked fresh talk that an announcement is imminent. Chris Waugh has spoken to Staveley’s people and we’ll have an update from that very soon. But wilder social media talk of an announcement today or this week looks just that. Premier League sources say the fit and proper person’s test hasn’t begun and until that happens, it’s difficult to see how there’d a grand announcement. This one will run and run.... From Douglas.
  21. Have no idea where our next points are coming from. Them performances against Liverpool and Southampton seem light years ago. Find it hard to hate on the players but they’re simply not good enough. A serious lack of investment in the summer needs fixed in January else there’s only one place this team is heading.
  22. 0-2. Think they're a good price, although I'd feel dirty backing it.
