Wouldn't surprise me if Cabaye was 52 tbh. Sounds daft, but doesn't he prefer 7? 5+2=7. Probably won't be like, but it wouldn't surprise me.
-
He just reminds me of Martins when he was here.
-
I bet Shola is number 9.
-
I hope he get's asked about Charlie.

Who's that who's breathing heavily? It's annoying as fuck, like a kettle whistling.

Fair play son!

Keeping with our Ligue 1 fetish, maybe El Arabi?

I wonder who we will actually end up with, if he was Plan B to Gameiro, wonder who C is. C stands for Carlton Cole Please don't even joke about that.

! Funnily enough we've just got a new lad at work who's a Mackem, and I don't just mean a Sunderland fan, I'm talking full on two syllable for one syllable word (i.e Skew-ell) Mackem. Was bragging the other day about Gardner, and I said I wouldn't get too excited, most of his goals come from route one football ala Nolan under Allardyce. And he said 'like Nolan for you's last season then?'. While I am fully aware we are hardly Barcelona, I think our style of football generally improved as the season went on, whether that be Pardew's methods kicking in or the loss of the big target man I don't know. But this lad always goes on like Sunderland play some kind of carpet football that everyone is envious of. I have actually heard this a few times from numerous mackems, and everytime I've saw them it's been honestly horrid. Even in October all they done was give the ball to Henderson to try and knock it diagonal to Bent.

The 2011-2012 Betting Thread: Last call for 2011/12 football, pretty much
Chicken Dancer replied to Stu's topic in Football
Few Lucky 15's; Birmingham, Chelsea, Huddersfield and Swindon (all league winners) Man Utd, Ipswich, Sheff Utd and Crawley (all league winners) Citeh, Reading, Sheff Wed, AFC Wimbledon (first 3 league winners, AFC for promotion) All optimistic, top one probably most likely. -
Snap Is he fully fit to be training with the first team? Wonder if he'll get a run out at Darlo.
-
Well what? I know we won't sign him, the fact that bell even sugested it proves we won't. Also Levy rips peoples eyeballs out in terms of player sales. However, I wouldn't mind Defoe. Criminal?
-
I'm not suggesting I believe him for one second. Twitter transfer bollocks thread means post Twitter transfer bollocks in my eyes.
-
Our bezza Colin tweeing about Defoe. As things stand I wouldn't mind him.
-
Would be pissed off if we lost Jose/Barton and didn't replace them but if we get a striker in then I'll be please. Not exciting but stronger than last year.

Freddie Shepherd was ahead of his time when he only sanctioned Bowyer's free transfer in the summer of 2003 and blew our forthcoming Champions League campaign out of the water, a decision with such disastrous consequences that we are still suffering from it to this day. "Keeping the powder dry" is the new "winning stuff". In all seriousness, the day when my ambition for NUFC is simply to still exist, I'm packing it in. How f***ing depressing. Honestly I see both points of view and I agree with both, I love nothing more than a big money signing. Really want Charlie back. I don't even know what my point is to be honest. Trying to please everyones take on it I suppose.

I really miss metroland like.

Fucking hell that tickled me .

As much as if I've enjoyed reading this debate, I have, after much thought, came to the conclusion that I couldn't give a flying fuck how much as spent as long as there is steady progress on the pitch. Sell the lot for 100 mil and replace them with a team of Championship rejcts and come 10th for me. We can beat the strategy to death, call for Ashleys/Pardews head but that fact that we're being careful with the clubs finances pleases me. We've tried the other way, it didn't work and we payed the price in relegation. At least we have the security to know our club will be here in 10 years when other clubs probably fear liquidation every day.
-
Really can't see us getting him which is disapointing considering he apparently wants to come. Pardew quotes in the Ronnie the day suggest two incoming players, presumably a striker and Neil Taylor.
-
"Were all looking forward to getting back to work next Monday. The squad is looking healthy and, hopefully, there are still one or two to come. They wont be in before July 4, but we hope to get one in before the tour of America and there could well be one after the tour." Doesn't fill me with confidence, considering we need at least 3/4 for the first team (argubly) and also squad fillers. Long summer. Suppose you can't complain with our buisness so far like, but would like a right winger/striker as priorities.

Has Pardew said we're only going to sign 2 more or something? Be very fucking worrying if that is the case, especially considering one is likely to be Neil Taylor.
