that has to be a goal, man
-
love him but Murphy has been terrible. Real lack of work rate too surprisingly
-
thought we might have a bit more energy than this
-
this is worse than expected
-
lol, where was Dummett going
-
yeah, was Isak’s mistake. He’d already done him.

What do you mean then, sorry? "Ball at their feet there is no contest with Colo coming out on top."
-
Colo definitely had better control in tighter areas but Schar more than makes up for it with his medium and long passing imo. They play XI a side on big pitches. CBs usually have a decent amount of time on the ball with the whole pitch in front of them, so I'd place a higher priority on my CB being able to play defence splitting passes and switches rather than control in small spaces.

Raya is honestly not that good with his feet. Better than Pope like, but I reckon Ramsdale's better. In fact if Ramsdale becomes available we might look at him.
-
he made 12 progressive passes yesterday, which is the most anyone's played in a game for us this season. tbh his data is always really good. Small sample size from his minutes but vs midfielders from big 5 leagues over the past year:
-
I’d heartily disagree that Colo was better on the ball than Schar.

Surprised Heckingbottom hasn’t been sacked yet this morning tbh. One of the most abject performances I’ve ever seen. He made it so obviously worse at half time as well. They went to a narrower shape and just left Trippier free to do whatever he wanted.
-
Get him a new contract pls

I actually think he’s better running in behind than he is coming short for the ball. Or at least it definitely suits our game more at the moment when he does run in behind. Always confident when he gets 1v1 or only has 1 defender to mug off. Sometimes when he’s come short this season his control has been unusually poor (ie vs Milan).

1.39 goals per 90 so far this season but not clinical enough. lol.
-
underrated bit of play for Wilson’s goal as well. Not many CBs pick that pass for Trippier.
-
from previous showings I’ve thought one of the things he could improve on is his ball retention and just being safer in possession. He was excellent at it today. Pass completion was 93% from 46 passes which is great considering how far forward he generally plays.

feel like it was the first time we’ve managed to play an aggressive press this season so far. We won the ball and forced errors high up a lot.
