Deserves his own thread does Carr. Absolute hero for the great work he's done over the past few years
-
I wouldn't say he necessarily wants too much time on the ball, more that his mind is a lot quicker than his body. He is quite lethargic, to put it kindly
-
Dropping Williamson would be absolutely mental considering he's just won motm and put in a very good display. Any sort of confidence he'd gained from that would be shot and he'd struggle to get it back. We can't play Perch and Colo at the back anyway. There's no height. Williamson won loads of headers vs Liverpool and I'd be far less confident about either Perch or Colo being able to do that.

I know I'm a Guthrie fanboy, but I really think he's important and contributes heavily to our style of play. Sounds mad and overly optimistic, but if he gets injured for a while it could be a blessing in disguise. He's in the team currently, and if that's how his season ends he might decide to stay.

Their main threat is Sigurðsson and he'll be neutralised by Tioté, so I'm actually quite confident we'll win for once
-
aww, poor horsie
-
tbf I don't think anyone was expecting this. Goal a game average in his first 7 games ffs
-
Regardless of whether it was his assist or not (for the second goal), he made it happen
-
Think the fans will have destroyed him today. Looked a total wreck when he went off. Don't feel sorry for him at all though. Might've done if he hadn't been a complete twat when he was on the field today.
-
We played a 4-2-3-1 today btw, not a standard 4-3-3. Cabaye was definitely at the top of the midfield with Guthrie and Tioté deeper. Gosling went there when he came on with Cabaye going deeper

Starting today for Wednesday. It's on Sky as well.

Fergie won't want players who go off to ACoN, like
-
Guthrie really has not been anonymous recently. He's one of the only ones who look for the ball. Was one of the few who did ok vs Norwich and was good against West Brom. I wish the Guardian hadn't scrapped chalkboards, because now I have nothing to back that up
-
I can't really put it down to jealousy, like. I don't hate Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea etc. Just Liverpool. Think it's the way they look/sound/are
-
Is it bad that I hate these more than the mackems?
-
I rate Enrique as one of the best left backs in the world. Not really sure how he never played for Spain when he was with us and they were having a problem there.
-
Ben Arfa's much better at running with it through the centre anyway as we saw against WBA numerous times and that amazing goal vs. Blackburn. He can go either way when he goes through the middle, whereas I think he's a lot more restricted on the right. I don't really see him getting the better of Enrique tbh. He'll make a right cunt out of Jamie Carragher and the likes though
-
There are things Gosling is good at, tbf. He's capable of passing the ball slickly if he keeps it nice and simple, and he does have quite a good engine to get from box to box. He's only just turned 22 and he's had an injury that kept him out for a long time. There's plenty of time for him.
-
Been wearing those Adidas for months now. Has he? I apologise
-
Think he wore Adidas boots instead of his usual Nike ones vs WBA. Probably why he was so much better
-
Way more worried about Everton catching up to us in the league than Liverpool.

Lee Ryder - Can James Perch be THE NEW WARREN BARTON!? http://www.blogonthetyne.co.uk/2012/03/can-james-perch-be-the-new-war.html#.T3GVXLxfVKs.twitter

When he was playing centre half he did manage an exquisite 50 yard pass in behind West Brom's defence for Cissé . Next best thing to a goal
-
I hope commentators keep bigging him up like Alan Smith did yesterday. Described him as being 'so solid'
