yeah sorry, for some reason I completely missed that sentence I love Joelinton and he is important in a tonne of games, but he can also be pretty useless in certain games/scenarios. Being missing a lot is a bit of a problem really. I wouldn’t mind seeing us go big on someone to compete with/replace him. But we also need to rotate and actually play Miley so that he can develop.
-
Joelinton also misses quite a lot of games too, as well as regularly playing through injury
-
be disappointing if we don’t take that. Not gonna get more from elsewhere.
-
don’t really rate it at all but Howe has more or less a 100% record of proving me wrong so
-
get in! what a summer we are having!
-
we’ve been lucky the scoreline isn’t embarrassing here. Awful since the goal got disallowed.
-
we seem incapable of doing anything quietly at the moment, which just makes me think that the agents involved are doing their best to get better moves for their clients.

I don’t rate Elanga very highly either but this doesn’t mean much. All players in low possession (and Forest had the least possession in the league iirc) sides look like this on fbref, and the opposite is the case for players in possession dominant teams. Of course you don’t play many passes or make many carries when your team doesn’t have the ball. It would be useful if they made these metrics so they were possession-adjusted.

this would be good for us, man
-
he was really bad, yeah. One of the worst I’ve seen play for us. He didn’t even try to defend crosses and was responsible for a goal going in practically every game for a while. Going forward he just… didn’t. Always passed it back or 5 yards to the side. He never had any confidence at all.
-
he’s getting a 7 year contract on big wages that’ll take him until he’s 30. Not sure there’s any loss involved for him at all.
-
I’m glad to be honest. If Cole Palmer is still taking penalties there then Pedro’s numbers will be rotten.
-
Staveley and Ghoduossi’s whole thing was how well connected they were to the Saudi’s/PIF. We can only speculate of course but I don’t think it’s a leap to say they’ll have had the necessary connections to get deals and financing green lit (Isak, Tonali etc.) much quicker than whoever is responsible for that now(???). It really is a shame they’re gone.

I still think his future is at right back, but strangely again in this tournament he was much better in the opening 2 games where he played left back. Was much quieter when he was moved to right back for the rest of the games.

1. loads of money 2. live in London Think we probably underestimate just how important number 1 is, especially to players who have no ties to clubs or the country at all.
-
don’t think Everton fans were sad to see the back of him. No idea why anyone would want him here tbh.
-
nobody even tried to stop him
-
not been impressed by Scott in this tournament at all. Hasn’t really progressed since joining Bournemouth.
-
great stuff. He’s normally pretty one footed and I was convinced he was somehow going to try and move it onto his left and lose it
-
perhaps usually, but rightly or wrongly Howe hasn’t ever changed a team if things are going well, so over the course of a season the level of the first XI is significantly more important for him than other managers I’d say.
-
I don’t think any of those four offer an improvement to our first XI currently.

I just find Humphrey incredibly toxic in the most linkedin way possible
