West Ham 2-1 up edit. Offside

Arsenal are going to go to pieces second half, unless they get an early goal, I reckon.

Mirrors their transfer policy

Forest pen saved.

Penalty to Forest.

Howe has already said this morning that he’s fine for this game. Can’t see him lying about that. He said that Bruno had a bad injury to the ankle (which we knew about), and they thought it had healed fine as he didn’t have any pain for a few weeks. However, sometimes when he twists it or gets a knock on it, it’s extremely painful for a short period but that he’s fine again straight away after that. Howe said it was something Bruno and the medical team would have to look at sorting in the future. Really doesn’t seem to be a major issue right now.

Isn’t it a maximum of five, so the EL winner would enter, but a league placed team would then miss out?
-
Sky say Lampard is expected to remain in charge for the remainder of the season.

Likely to have 5 PL teams qualify, but that’s the limit. “Right now, a maximum of five Premier League teams can qualify for the Champions League, and that isn't expected to change despite the competition expanding to 36 teams. Two of the extra spots are reserved for the two countries with the highest coefficient score in that season. England currently sits atop UEFA's ranking, so an extra Premier League team would qualify for the Champions League. Barring a drastic switch in fortunes, it's likely the Premier League will garner one of these extra spots, meaning those that finish in the top five will all qualify for Europe's premier club competition starting from the 2024/25 season.” https://www.90min.com/posts/champions-league-qualification-premier-league-how-it-works-2024-25/amp

Less than £5m clause price too. We would easily get that back even if he doesn’t perform/improve as expected.

Jamie O’Hara strikes me as thick. Might just be the accent though.

? wiki says it was because Betis didn’t want to sell to Madrid, so Real made a deal with Coventry…? “In the summer of 1998, Jarni initially moved to English side Coventry City, signing for £2.6 million from Real Betis. However, when Real Madrid decided they wanted the player, they successfully bought him from Coventry for £3.4 million with Jarni having made no appearances whatsoever. Some believe this was a joint Coventry City and Real Madrid tactic, as Betis refused to sell him to the Madrid club”

Seemed decent to start with, then went downhill (like the rest of their team).

I’d love a Croat in the team. Growing up, I loved watching the likes of Zvoni Boban, Boksic, Prosinecki, Jarni, Suker etc. Fingers crossed this lad wants to come to us!

Are Bayern actually thinking about letting Davies go or are these posts wishful thinking? Have we been linked?

https://thehardtackle.com/transfer-news/2023/04/25/liverpool-rival-chelsea-manchester-in-luka-vuskovic-pursuit/ Linked with Luka Vuskovic, 16 year old CB and supposedly next greatest Croat world star. Rest of the world and PL also after him though!

It’s also not totally unheard of that a team sells a player on even before he’s joined- chance of big profit, change of manager, financial need etc. Can’t see it myself personally, but you never know. He’s a good player.
-
Won 4 from 7 in his last stint post Jose. edit- won four from six in the league, and also lost the Carabao Cup Final.
-
Not that he’d ever go purely for the money, but all three currently pay wages to individual players far in excess of us.

Man City were 5-0 up against Watford after 18 mins- Sept 2019.

I’m just thinking of it going the other way and reactions to him setting him right back. Just don’t think it’s the place for him to be in front of a tv camera- if he gets enjoyment and purpose from being at the game and speaking to his mates then great. Just not in the spotlight for himself- there’s no need.
-
Yeah. Didn’t mean to be harsh on him- just that being there isn’t the best place for him. Fans reactions to what he’s doing and saying could really work against him, which he undoubtedly doesn’t need.
-
Know he’s had his issues and obviously still has. Just not the place for him to be there imo. He’s being employed and paid as a pundit to analyse and comment on the game.

Fuck me. Danny Rose needs to go and lie down in a dark room someplace.
