I love our midfielders but today highlighted that in front of goal against worse opponents we need more quality from the 2 playing in front of Bruno. The positions Longstaff get the ball in during a game really needs to bring some end-product. Especially in good positions at the edge of the box i don't feel confident any of them will do much. If Wood starts we look toothless.

The handball was the worst decision by far. The defender has his hands behind his back to not handball it, then takes it back out to save the ball.

None of the replays showed any touch on Willock, so the linesman giving it off the wrong side of the play 2 minutes after is just ridiculous, if you can't see it let it go, they are just guessing for fucks sake.

England centre back options are pretty dire. Didn't think much about Burn missing out initially, but I would definitely say he deserves it more than the likes of Coady and especially Magiure.

Willock has looked very strong and consistently winning duels, thougth he's been the best player for us today. Murphy should go off if Maxi can do 45 minutes. We aren't playing that well and might still not win this, so hopefully we go up a gear a-la Aston Villa. The referee though is boiling my piss, Ward Prowse just has to ask nicely and they get every little niggling shitfoul.

Amazing play by Almiron, and Bruno unlucky not to get one. Have to say though I hope we get some more players in January to push us on. Far too many attacks break down when it goes through the likes of Longstaff and Joelinton today. Murphy apart from a good effort has been a fullbacks dream once again. Thought Everton were actually doing quite well in dragging us down to their level until the goal, but it's important that we got it relatively early and can hopefully control the 2nd half.

Would have taken 0-0 all day after the triple sub. They become so much stronger than us because of our lack of quality on the bench. Thought the back 4 was solid, Botman my top pick today. We just need more quality in forward positions to pick teams apart a bit more efficiently. Murphy wasn't too bad but Fraser looks finished this season, a winger slower than most centrebacks. Desperate for some pace to come off the bench at times this year. Even a middling pacy player to come in January to do that sometimes would be nice.

Think Palhinha was a huge miss for them from the start. Imagine how much we are when Bruno etc. isn't playing. Tough for promoted sides to cope without their best players, and it is really showing. At the same time i think Howe managing them would hasve got so much more from them in the same situation.

Any chance of a Murphy goal to get a transfer fee for him? I'd rest at least Bruno and Wilson from half-time, anyone else who is slightly in doubt.
