Willock has looked very strong and consistently winning duels, thougth he's been the best player for us today. Murphy should go off if Maxi can do 45 minutes. We aren't playing that well and might still not win this, so hopefully we go up a gear a-la Aston Villa. The referee though is boiling my piss, Ward Prowse just has to ask nicely and they get every little niggling shitfoul.

Amazing play by Almiron, and Bruno unlucky not to get one. Have to say though I hope we get some more players in January to push us on. Far too many attacks break down when it goes through the likes of Longstaff and Joelinton today. Murphy apart from a good effort has been a fullbacks dream once again. Thought Everton were actually doing quite well in dragging us down to their level until the goal, but it's important that we got it relatively early and can hopefully control the 2nd half.

Would have taken 0-0 all day after the triple sub. They become so much stronger than us because of our lack of quality on the bench. Thought the back 4 was solid, Botman my top pick today. We just need more quality in forward positions to pick teams apart a bit more efficiently. Murphy wasn't too bad but Fraser looks finished this season, a winger slower than most centrebacks. Desperate for some pace to come off the bench at times this year. Even a middling pacy player to come in January to do that sometimes would be nice.

Think Wilson should have had a penalty early on, the commentator was saying something about another incident after my completely legal way of watching was interrupted. Should we have had another? Think Palhinha was a huge miss for them from the start. Imagine how much we are when Bruno etc. isn't playing. Tough for promoted sides to cope without their best players, and it is really showing. At the same time i think Howe managing them would hasve got so much more from them in the same situation.

Any chance of a Murphy goal to get a transfer fee for him? I'd rest at least Bruno and Wilson from half-time, anyone else who is slightly in doubt.

It was 1-1, he found a teammate in the box with quite a lot of space and a good opportunity to nick it. If Anderson had smashed it in the corner it would have been a different story. If it was 2-1 fine, let him try and waste another 10 seconds, but not gonna whinge in retrospect about us going for it against any team, Joelinton was a monster yesterday.

He is quick but so incredibly weak. When he actually had space to run into it was like he waited for the Liverpool players to come at him and then got disposessed. When him and Wood came on we just stopped winning duels. Really wish we could sign a skillful and quick winger before the window closes so someone can affect the game from the bench.
