    Yes. Gay-hating own-goal merchant.
  2. This is absolutely hysterical. "He was caught out when he told keen cyclist Christopher Hall he was doing a “450-mile” coast to coast bike ride – more than three times the actual distance. Mr Hall knew the true distance was much less – 137 miles – and so Etherington’s con was rumbled. Now the shamed sportsman has been jailed for 15 months after he admitted fraud."
  3. When a current senior player and former captain of a football club is publicly cavorting with a notorious bimbo while dressed like a clown, it's bound to attract comments on an internet forum devoted to fans of said club.
  4. All over the tabloids today. Sad stuff.
  5. Isaac Hayden might have a future as a broadcaster. Didn't realize he's so articulate and thoughtful.
  6. I thought Rebecca's "And he's so nice!" at the end was kind of charming and absolutely true. Always good-natured at pre-game press conferences. Unfailingly polite and controlled when interviewed, even after a bad performance. Never whines like, say, Arteta or Emery are prone to do. Never sullen or confrontational like Ange. Not even the occasional snark that you sometimes get from Pep or Silva. Gives intelligent level-headed analysis rather than the stupid huffy excuses that his predecessor used to come out with. The players clearly like him. Even seems to be a great dad and husband. He didn't only lead us to a fantastic season. He represents the club perfectly and is a manager to be proud of.
  7. He's appeared in a grand total of 9 competitive club games in the last 3 seasons -- 1 for Benfica, 7 for Forest, and 1 League Cup sub appearance for us.
  8. Ryan Fraser disagrees.

Would have said, "No, fuck that" if he wasn't so religious.
  10. We had this season's Golden Gloves winner Mats Sels . . .
  11. Flekken moving from Brentford to Leverkusen for between 8 million and 11 million. Kelleher moving from Liverpool to Brentford for between 12.5 million and 18 million. Any reason Trafford's market value would be much higher than those?
  12. Favourites? Isak v. Liverpool Isak v. Arsenal Gordon v. Villa Tonali v. Brentford Murphy v. Leicester (Schar crossbar assist) Murphy v. Palace Schar v. Wolves Barnes v.Wolves Bruno v. Leicester Murphy v. Ipswich
  13. This. The narrative that Stavely got us into the shit is itself a load of shit. We're not in the shit. We're further away from being in the shit than we've been for years, thanks in large measure to her. If she hadn't gambled on spending big, we'd probably have been relegated and up to our necks in shit.
  14. Yes. This is what the table looked like after we lost 4-2 to Brentford in December GP GD Pts 1 Liverpool 15 18 36 2 Chelsea 15 17 31 3 Arsenal 15 14 29 4 Man City 15 6 27 5 Forest 15 1 25 6 Aston Villa 15 0 25 7 Brighton 15 3 24 8 Bournemouth 15 3 24 9 Brentford 15 3 23 10 Fulham 15 2 23 11 Tottenham 15 12 20 12 Newcastle 15 -2 20 13 Man Utd 15 1 19 14 West Ham 15 -8 18 15 Everton 15 -7 15 16 Leicester 15 -9 14 17 Crystal Palace 15 -6 13 18 Ipswich 15 -13 9 19 Wolves 15 -15 9 20 Southampton 15 -20 5
  15. It really is decades. Can't help dreading that next Sunday turns into another debacle like Partizan Belgrade, or even Anderlecht. No reason to think it will, but the scars remain . . .
  16. It's also true that they've lost 3 out of their last 8 games.
  17. Unless we get beat 10-0 we'd still finish above Forest and no worse than 6th.
  18. If you round the predicted points to the nearest whole number, Villa would be on 67 and Chelsea on 66. But how you square that with Chelsea having a 53% chance of CL and Villa only 42, I can't imagine.
  19. A hefty points reduction for City (or even a modest one) would make things a lot more comfortable. https://sport.optus.com.au/news/premier-league/os90077/manchester-city-charges-verdict-punishments-guilty
  20. 1980. Then they got relegated three seasons in succession.
  21. Chelsea's last 10 away games (i.e. since 22 December 2024). Won 1, Drawn 3, Lost 6 Goals for: 5 Goals against: 15 Nottingham Forest away on the last day isn't an easy game for them.
