  1. I think I’d have liked to see Lazaro start the remainder of games but I don’t hate that lineup given what we’ve got available.
  2. I seem to have the opposite opinion of most people, I think he’s good and he’s improved us defensively. I don’t think I’d sign him given how much he’d cost in fee and wages but I think he’s been an upgrade on Dummet. He doesn’t offer anywhere near what Willems did and despite him being a weaker defender I’d still prefer him over the two. If the takeover happens I’m guessing neither though?

  4. Ward-Prowse with another unbelievable delivery
  5. “Not a deliberate attempt” - so why does his foot lift from the floor after he’s already slowed?
  6. Are Man U currently the best team to watch in the league?
  7. Echoing what others have said it would be a good day to get the decision out with the City news breaking as well. It would take some scrutiny away at least.
  8. 1-1 Rodriguez cracker Unless Var cancels it
  9. Surely Pope has to be England’s number 1 now?
  10. Just saw the highlights and thought the same. Both definite pens for me too.
  11. Checked the score at half time to see us 1-0 up at playing well. By the time I got home we’ve lost and went to absolute shit. Uhhhhh! Were both pens deserved?
  12. We played 5 at the back for the second half of last season as well and looked incredible. I think it’s more to do with the tactics and management. Bruce can’t do it.
  13. Playing Schar in midfield over Bentaleb or Longstaff just feels like a mistake to me. Even if you look at it from persuading Matty to stay that isn’t really much of an incentive is is.

    Sunderland

I always thought it was strange that they’d proudly look down at “the mags shouting at shops” when our fan base was trying to put pressure on Mike Ashley while they were plummeting down divisions, being taken apart by chancers and doing absolutely nothing against it. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think we did enough as fan base but they were seemingly proud to be doing nothing so they didn’t look like us. Weird bunch at times.
  15. Surely there’s more people involved in the decision making process?
  16. It seems more likely to me that a decision has already been made and they’re making sure everything is in order for an inevitable legal challenge. Whatever the decision surely someone will try and challenge it whether it’s Staveley and the Saudi’s or one of their many detractors if it goes our way. Despite it being frustrating as a fan I can’t help being slightly impressed at how the Premier League don’t have a single leak in their camp. There must be all sorts of people involved in the process and there hasn’t been a single indication which way they’re favouring.
  17. Why do you always forgive the unforgivable? Your support for your club is admiral, your support for Bruce is not....... He only said it was a good free kick! Samptime worse than Pardew for appreciating a free kick I think.
  18. I hope City pack in for a bit like they did in the fa cup
  19. Given the squad rotation, injuries and vastly different levels of quality in the first 11 is there any chance we can have a match thread where everyone isn’t the worst player we’ve ever signed, needs selling, always been shit etc etc ?
  20. Wow it’s gonna be a big score isn’t it!
  21. No wonder they’re down missing chances like that.
  22. I’d sooner wait than it be rejected like. If it’s rejected I’m out. Same
  23. Agree with the majority of posts over the last couple of pages. A quick summary being I don’t dislike him as a person but tactically I don’t want him as manager. There’s a lot of ifs and buts in the question but what I’m interested in is what people’s opinions are on Bruce if takeover falls through? Would you keep him as manager? I understand it raises the issue of whether you could support the club etc, I’m assuming everyone in the right mind doesn’t think he should be here if the takeover happens and Ashley certainly isn’t going to sack him. Assuming we’re in a Mike Ashley word next season do you keep him? I’d still probably say no despite a couple of decent results/performances lately.
