    New here

It certainly was when Bruce was manager.
  2. "That's being a landlord and heating engineer for you. As I've said many, many times, a bit of carbon monoxide is nothing to worry about. Some of my tenants have rode their luck at times, but if one of them dies then we dust ourselves down and go again."
  3. Moose and Bruce - they look like they're about to eat each other.
  4. That fucking stinks, given that, historically, West Ham has always supposedly been a very working class football club. Saw something similar for Fulham the other day which was equally as eye-watering, but with Fulham you kind of just shrug your shoulders as it's nothing new for them...think I paid £65 for a ticket in the Putney End a good few years ago. What is particularly bad with the West Ham pricing is the lack of concessions, and all that to sit in a stadium that they are supposedly paying next-to-nowt to use. Absolutely scandalous.
  5. Looks like it's based on the No Smoking shirt they had in the mid-eighties. Stripes are a bit too wide for me, but I still quite like it.

    St James' Park

I was trying to work out what part of the Gallowgate it was. By the looks of it, I think it might be where the old Gallowgate corner used to meet the East Stand.

    St James' Park

Wow! can't believe part of the old Gallowgate End still exists. That's amazing!
  8. Chances are that PSG were never interested in him anyway and it was a load of horseshit planted by his agent, which has hopefully backfired. I don't know enough about the kid to be that emotionally invested in this deal and maybe he is worth all the ball ache, but the whole thing is a bit sour and becoming increasingly tedious.
  9. Was worried that the Fizzy Wizard had gone a bit quiet, but delighted to see that he's returned for another round of grandstanding. Although neither bidding party should be allowed anywhere near the ownership of a football club, it's quite astounding that Storey is arguably the better option.
  10. Aye, sponsors logo looks to have been clagged on over the watermark.
  11. Instead of playing the likes of Rotherham and Wigan, they'll now play teams like Rotherham and Wigan.

    Sunderland

Not sure if it was the same period, but towards the end of the 88/89 season their home attendances were absolutely abysmal. Barely 8,000 bothered to turn up to see them play Plymouth, and 9k turned up for the following home game (which was a Saturday 3pm). It got so bad that they started letting people in for nowt to try and encourage the fans back.
  13. It occurs to me that this could be the build up to Chelsea withdrawing from the FA Cup. No revenue and no fans, what's the point of them participating? It probably isn't regarded that big a trophy by them.
  14. Think it's a reference to the spat he had with the Crystal Palace fan on Twitter. That Kav said he was being racist, when he clearly wasn't. He is a nonce BTW.
  15. I'm not the sharpest tool in the box, so can someone explain to me just how locking fans out of a sporting event correlates to demonstrating, achieving or upholding sporting integrity, because I'm fucked if I can fathom what their game is supposed to be here. Fair play to Boro for that statement BTW.
  16. Always thought that Everton would have enough to get out of it but I had a look at their run-in yesterday and it's pretty tough, and their form is showing no signs of picking up either. If we do manage to beat them on Thursday then I'll start to really believe that they could go, as we appear to be one of their more winnable fixtures on paper.
  17. Remember when the equivalent of this was a bus trip with a useless fat cunt to Queen Ethelburga's, how times have changed.
  18. A bit of a daft question but does that mean that away fans can no longer attend Stamford Bridge? Presume we'll be ok as tickets already sold.
  19. If it is as serious as being reported then the Everton situation could potentially get very messy. Expect a legal challenge from whoever might go down in their place if they aren't hit with a points deduction, pretty dangerous for a club which already appears to be totally fucked from a financial perspective.
  20. Their message board is named after a song by Republica which used to get played at the SoS. Unless I'm missing something, there's no local link to that song or the band. Thicker than a Boxing Day shite.
  21. Honestly think it's the most horrific thing I've seen in my life. Guys stripped bollock naked and kicked to death. Just can't get my head around how someone can do that to another being, let alone over a fucking football match.
  22. He didn't really say that, did he?
