  1. Is the power of Anfield the crowd being agitated for most of the second half and making very little noise?

"he's never played in the Champions League" is the line which shows the article up for what it is. Might as well have said he puts the milk in first when he makes a cup of tea.
  3. Don't want to go all Greta Thunberg but that's pretty bad, it must be best part of a 3,000 mile round trip.

Was going to say the same thing, a £300m investment which is worth £1bn less than four years later is not being "sold a pup". Also, PIF has made such a mistake that they recently increased their stake in the club when they bought out Staveley's shares - I know fuck all about these things but I wouldn't consider that to be the actions of a regretful investor. I never get this obsession of the club not owning the land either. We are dealing with the Freemen of Newcastle and the City Council for which the club has a long term lease and pays a more than reasonable ground rent, not some faceless land investment portfolio which could kick us off at a month's notice. Appreciate that these comments are from a bunch of knackers sat in a red & white echo chamber who desperately want to make themselves feel better, but this type of low hanging fruit is so easy to debunk man. It's like the guy with his aerial photos of Knebworth trying to justify that only 500 turned up for our victory parade, or the seagull shagger being a Newcastle fan, or Newcastle Airport not being in Newcastle, or their regular "full houses", or the mag on a horse - all absolute bollocks!

Do they just type whatever comes into their thick heads? PIF were interested in Liverpool, Spurs...and Sunderland?!? What a bucket of braindead horseshit. Also, if he doesn't know why the Reubens are involved then he hasn't even bothered trying to find out. It's not even a secret, and Jamie Reuben has stated publicly exactly why his family are invested in the project. They own half of Newcastle FFS.
  6. Nauseating! The rat hasn't even kicked a ball for them yet and Sky has already turned the wankfest dial to 10.
  7. Aye, they were all bairns wearing matching teeshirts and bucket hats with "Ultras Benfield" or something similar printed on...probably about 19/20 of them. I didn't actually see any bother but they were strutting about like some sort of adolescent mafia. Apparently there was a bit of trouble shortly after the final whistle but I didn't see any of it.
  8. This could just as easily be a photo of the Leek Club winner at Westholme Farm Social Club. Marinakis looks like he's woken up with a different set of legs, his belt must be cutting his circulation off.
  9. Drill top is back in stock on Adidas website in most sizes, just managed to grab one in M after missing out earlier Edit - Only M, L and 2XL left now
  10. As ridiculous as it is, it's definitely real. If you do an internet search for "Michael Owen Brochure" then you'll be unfortunate enough to find the entire content of it. Claiming that someone is "Devoted" in a brochure designed to get that person a move away from a club that they never really wanted to be at in the first place is some going.
  11. Don't think Owen's glossy promotional brochure will ever be beaten. The brand values page has to be seen to be believed.
  12. Terrible decision, can't think of who would be better for them. Will probably be Ange the Banter Manager, think him and Pavarotti have a friendship due to the Greece connection. Forest fans must be massively pissed off, wouldn't blame them.

It might take a while, but he'll be absolutely fine and will be a massive player for us. Judging players on international performances is a total waste of time, Spurs paid us £30m for Sissoko on the basis of a good Euros but we all knew that he was a lazy bastard. The German national team is an absolute bin fire right now, not worried at all.

The Steak Bake Stadium would be canny.
  15. Talking of 1992, I found this recently... Thoroughly grim times as you say. It's incomprehensible that less than two years later we would be up in the Premier League and regularly ripping teams a new arsehole. It can never be overstated just what an incredible job Keegan did, it was proper fantasy stuff.
  16. Agree with that. Norwich game aside, it was poor under McClaren and he should've been sacked sooner. For whatever ever reason though, he just doesn't register on the hatred scale for me. As far as I'm aware, he's never badmouthed the support and that's probably the difference.
  17. Struggle to find any negative feeling towards McClaren tbh. Aye, it all went to shit but he and a few others are evidence that if you conduct yourself in a respectable manner and give the job a proper go then you'll leave on reasonable terms. The likes of Souness, Bruce and Allardyce are disliked for a reason - if you treat the support with distain and blame us for your own shortcomings then of course we're going to give you a hard time. Shame that this excuse will only carry you so far - we, as NUFC supporters, can't be to blame for every job that you were subsequently shite at.

Seems a bit daft, London to Brighton by train is only four minutes. Yes, I know I'm showing my age here.

Couldn't judge a single German player on that performance last night, collectively they were fucking terrible. Looked like the whole team had been on the piss all day Wednesday, there was absolutely no accuracy in their play at all.
  20. Ah yes, fair enough. Ashley's reign was pretty poor, but I did enjoy it when he steered us to our first Champions League final, and built us a world leading stadium.
  21. Aye, read that, some saying that looked very distressing. Just bloody awful 😢
  22. Just seen that the game has been abandoned. Hope they both make a speedy recovery.
