    Joelinton

Colo is a good shout, remember him being fairly unreliable first season then became an absolute beast
  13. Arsenal were after Bruno so they do want a midfielder. partey gets injured a lot too so they would do well but suspect he is not quite their type. I think a Bruno/Philips/Joelinton midfield would be excellent and would have a lot of balance. Joelinton may be ultimately upgradable but i dunno if we will sign more than one more midfielder, Paqueta feels more for inside forward if we do go in for him
  14. Well there is that but I was just pointing out there are footballing reasons too
  15. I think the feeling is that he hasn't really done enough to warrant either the acclaim he gets from pundits or how he comes across as feeling he is a too good for this. The latter could be entirely misplaced and unfortunate. Getting his managerial start at Derby felt a bit high up, then Spygate happens which I think most think Frank was unjustified in how furious he was in retrospect. It was unfortunate that Chelsea came knocking when they did, it was too early. He maybe didn't do terribly considering circumstances, but Tuchel's very quick turning them around did show they were underperforming under him in his last season. It is difficult to hold struggling at Chelsea against a manager mind, always plenty of behind the scenes madness there. He then goes to Everton with the air of not wanting to go to a club fighting relegation then not realising they were. He still seems to be unable to sort out a defence but they have had a lot of injuries. Compare with say Thomas Frank who was appointed at Brentford at 2018 and is still there without so much of a whisper of anyone suggesting poach him, and yet Lampard got linked everywhere and ushered into a premier league institution or two? I think that's why he's disliked a bit.
  16. Christ imagine turning nose up at signing an england midfielder who helped us to our first europpean final for donkeys 12 months ago...Not saying wrong, I really like Philips but you could be right and for once I am not too worried if we miss someone we will try and sign someone else rather than the old 'well at least we tried' attitude.
  17. wtf was that from rondon haha
  18. yeah need a defender who can play high. Tarkowski feels...a backwards step, unless it is to replace lascelles as backup if he is off, but doubt that.
  19. Trying to restore her reputation from wagatha christie through court is madness. Going to court is rarely a good idea and when you look guilty as sin doubly so. #teamcolleen
  20. On saying that i as someone who is unhappy with the owners should walk away from club i will say i may if things get really bothersome like full on mbs worship on the pitch before games or something but i am only really going from my gut feeling of if i still love this club. I didn't have a choice in who owns is, i still love almost everything about it. I will not accept this as ideal though it defend the owners. Football as a whole is disgracefully corrupt and i be hope one day the club is actually owned by the fans as are all clubs.
  21. This, totally understand not caring, god there's enough going on in the world to not want to worry about who owns the club, please want people to enjoy it. I don't want people to think me fretting that I wish football clubs weren't political footballs owned by states is meant as an attack on them but I guess it comes across that way.
