  1. Don't worry, I have bottled saying things plenty of times and regret not reporting a few.
  2. #unitedasone Great win. The bloke sat next to me walked in as the teams were coming out - he took one look at the rainbow flag, described it as sad and then made a derogatory comment (which he then repeated twice during the game). Feels a bit sad I've got his seat number and am going to report it. No one likes a tell tale but equally I feel that if I just let it go then people will just continue to get away with it. Get it done Please do, as a gay fan love seeing the rainbow flag, football stadiums can sometimes feel a bit like enemy territory.

Yeah before then he never seemed to lose the ball, been a bit off it since
  5. Tears of excitement that he will be managing this team next season?

    Rafa Benítez

I don't even think its the amount thats the issue though. I think Rafa may be basicaly willing to work within a model where he has to raise the money for players from sales, but the problem is we could sell Lascelles for £30m and Rafa could identify an excellent replacement for £20m and £10m for a prospect and the club would veto the £20m player cos of lack of resale value or whatever, or just plain mess up negotiations. I think the club balking at targets is as much an issue as the amount. It seems rafa can give them a list of targets at teh start of the window, the club will make the sales to raise money but then wait all window to even try, veto half the targets as too old or too expensive, and then end up spending only a third of the apparent budget on the third choice players they could get over the line.
  7. I'm not suggesting it's impossible to sign players if you're not a London club ffs it's just one of the things players will consider, some players might say prefer Palace and would only go to us for a bit more money. That may reasonably be reason not to go for that players but you want to have things that make you attractive a destination for players which may bring price and wage demands down. We can't do much about location to be fair, but stuff like looking like we gave a damn about winning trophies now and then and training facilities at least on par with rest of league would help and we fail at them.
  8. He will get sacked and a very hefty punishment from the FA surely. Doubt his career will recover.

Missed it too but pretty sure I can guess
  10. Tbh at this point i think the refs are just trolling warnock
  11. I think there is something to it tbh. I think essentially players do want to live in London and if they are being asked not to will expect some other perk to attract them. If it can't be opportunity to win things it's likely to be wages. History of the club will matter to some but not that much I suspect. We do have a perk though which will attract players, opportunity to work with Rafa. If we lose that we are back to having to outbid london clubs for wages...which won't happen.
  12. I mean maybe gets away with it with sarcasm but I don't think he has it in him Minor correction although I doubt it makes much difference, but that quote was in relation to when his Swansea side went to Sunderland and lost 2-0. I don't mind Brendan or his awkward interviews. I much prefer to focus on the fact that he is a good coach on the training ground and pushes his teams to play attacking football. Much rather that than any of the old-school LMA crowd like Pardew, Pulis, Allardyce, Moyes, Hodgson et al. Ooops, though that makes it even worse I do see what you are saying completely, he is definitely a good coach, though not sure how considering how self regarding he is and awkward he comes accross. I don't think he is always that attacking mind, it's posession first then get some goals, he had advantage of Suarez at Liverpool and then celtic being better than all the other teams without coaching tbh, his teams without a great striker become really dull. You are right he is more progressive than the above, better for the league to have managers like him bringing their ideas, and he may do well with Leceister, but he just irritates the hell out of me.

Imagine if we beat Liverpool and cost them the title, what would it do to Rafa?
  14. Remember this quote after his Liverpool lost 2-0 to Sunderland I mean maybe gets away with it with sarcasm but I don't think he has it in him

    Fabian Schär

There was like a Swiss school party in front of me at the Palace game, what a miserable game to go to
  16. He's been unlucky not to score yet, he will. Our attacking play is so much better since he came into the squad, but think he's getting frustrated. Just need to keep behind him, he's clearly got talent.

    Rafa Benítez

To be fair giving that much money to a manager who has left and has joined another club is a bold move
