  1. Not especially surprising but the club is in a really difficult position. As for reporting to the police, possibly should but can't see them doing anything different tbh. Maybe this will prevent him using the language in future games regardless for fear of it coming up again.
  2. Twitter seems to think Qataris are pulling out of PSG, hope so
  3. Ritchie can be good but hasn't got legs for 90 mins let alone 60 mins and the rest of our wide players without miggy and perez are utterly dreadful, not sure what people expect to happen, although yes completely agree, why not Muto? I guess rafa thought kennedy was due a good performance
  4. Well i think half our actually good players are injured but we have been poor at the end of teh season. We have narrowly avoided relegation because the squad is pretty poor. This reminds me of us before Miggy livened up our attack. Our attacking options are desperately poor. Not excluding Rafa, not his finest.
  5. it was a bad sub but there is a bit of in retrospect about that, maybe he's trained well and thought he would step up
  6. Vincent Janssen is still at Spurs?

Imagine being that angry about the idea of a football match being a nice family event. How dare they they are an opportunity to get furious, should racist abuse and commit the odd sex crime on the way home
  8. Talk of sharing money around is obviously needed, and who cares if the twattish big clubs break off to some silly european league, they will ofcourse take quite a lot of money with them but we would have to see if it would be a success. The thing is the big clubs are so much more able to raise funds from their own money anyway than clubs like us, it's never going to be fair when Sheikh Mansour is about etc etc. There needs to be talk about wages and transfer fees (agent fees seem ripe for more looking at and regulation especially) to bring them back down as they seem vastly over inflated at teh moment. That would help the competitiveness of teh league. Financial fair play has not worked when PSG can pay £200m for a player. The £100m fees that have now become the norm is so out of proportion with the financial resources of even 2 thirds of any of the european leagues it needs to be curbed as much as just sharing money more evenly. I know it is a natural progression from just how much money can flow into these mega clubs but it just stinks of a bubble to me.
  9. It was an odd season to be honest, I remember at Christmas we had been on an absolutely hapless run and was fuming. We started with a very good run on the back of Ba scoring plenty but we didn't look super convincing. Then after I was furious Pardew had started us 4-4-2 against Man U with Shola up front we proceded to demolish them and then Cisse came in and just was a joy for that brief half a season to watch. I don't think we'd finish 5th with that team in many of the subsequent years but it seems the early run meant we werent stressing over relegation early then when cisse was scoring for fun the team just played without stress and the good players carried us there. I am hesitant to completely remove Pardew from any credit as that looks ridiculous i think to people externally, and while quite frankly I'd sooner let the corpse of Jimmy Saville manage the team than Pardew again but he at least just didn't change anything that worked. Then after he had a chance to ruin everything in the summer we were absolutely relentlessly dire from then on.
  10. Until this recent run I'd have said Championship may be his level but think shown enough now to earn a better move
  11. To be honest wouldn't shock me if he goes to whatever club Rafa goes to
  12. Wouldn't be surprised if an Everton, West Ham or Leicester come in for him, all would unfortunately be moves to more ambitious clubs
  13. OGS may not be the answer really but do think the dressing room is toxic. No idea what he has been doing giving the likes of Jones contract extentions. Comedy will continue for a while lol
  14. When scheduled looked moderately likely to be relegation 6 pointers no? Still kinda is very important for Brighton
  15. Our attacking play has been so much better since he's been here and he's definitely been unlucky not to score. Next season hope he'll kick on and find that end product but don't think any criticism is due, fully deserves credit for massively livening up our play and bringing threat that was conspicuously missing prior. Just look at how perez's goal scoring has kicked on with him in the team is proof he has made an impact
  16. I think shearer is right on that, it is in the law to be fair but Jenas is also completely right to point out that it's as much a missed goal scoring opportunity as further down the pitch especially considering pace of almiron and yellow isn't enough of a punishment. Shearer doesn't take into account it being a fair punishment instead wants to sympathise with ref
  17. When we're poor he's very poor because he's left up front often trying to hold up play. No doubt his confidence has been down too but when he's running around all along up front he's looked poor because he has been conspicuous when muscled off the ball. Rondon in the team improves him a lot, allows him to concentrate on trying to get in awkward positons more, and Almiron gives him a ball out, and creates space for him by making different runs.

    Alan Shearer

Jenas concisely shot him down well
  19. Nice Jenas pulling up Shearer for being too kind to the ref
  20. That man city celebration - Did all the city players just kinda ignore Foden scoring his first premier league goal and rush to aguero and Foden just sort of joins in. Seems a bit twatish from most the city players but maybe reading too much
  21. Imagine if Rafa cost them the title man
