I agree that Simpson is overly maligned and reasonably not too bothered if we fail to replace him. A backup CB who can play RB competently too would be fine by me.

Would have been reasonably happy just to get to the end of the window without losing anyone (think we need a backup prospect CB but not a big name one, as I am perfectly happy with Colo, Saylor and Williamson being our main ones and thus understand not going for Samba, Alex etc) but now just starting to want us to get someone over the line, same old transfer window linked with people, don't offer enough and then just let it slide. Maybe we'll get him, dunno.

Seems like made the mistake Pardew made against them last season and thought pack the defence. Would have thought every manager would have looked at the number we did on them on how to counter it. Dagliesh however is the most negative defensive and boring manager in the league with the possible exception of McLeish.

I'd be pretty happy to see them challenge for the title with anyone but media darling 'arry in charge. Now just dread all the sycophantic drivel about him. The team is good though, nothing complex just lightning speed and direct, controlled by Modric in the middle. Still not a great fan of Redknapp even looking beyond his tapping up etc he isn't a great tactician, just seems to have a pretty great batch of players at the moment, and a simple but effective plan. Having said that if he does win the title have to give him his due.

I work with kids who've done worse and they are capable of being normal people or just getting stuck in patterns of behaviour. One got a job in Timpsons and seemed to mature overnight. Can't imagine acting like he has when having a career with Man United ahead of him, boggles the mind.
