Sounds better than it is until you realise they beat Hungary and maybe Wales to get there. and their group included Sweden and Republic Ireland, the only relevant team they played they have lost to. Another example of how bad this tournament is in terms of quality.

Having Kante in there as well is overkill and completely unnecessary. Swear to god Deschamps iwll start Cabaye or Siss for Kante. He's crazy. I mean i won't complain if he does But the team that played the second half is clearly their most dangerous.

Don't see any indication why he's better than what we have though, it certainly isn't his goal record. I'm not against it, but i imagine if you are to sign a striker it's for someone whose more of a guaranteed goalscorer not another promising, young but raw talent to go with Perez, Mitrovic and Armstrong.

Don't particularly rate him tbh, Kaka loves him though.

I always found it strange that he would coincidentally score and assist more near the end of the season or near/during the January transfer window. Very inconsistent player tbh, he'd go weeks and even months at a time without doing anything and then put consecutive back to back games for a while being very effective. Jury is out on him as a top quality player IMO.

The problem with the Carr debate is that those who defend him usually go overboard with it and those who don't rate him usually are not giving him enough credit for what he did do. As usually the middle ground is the right answer, did he sign/recommend some absolutely awful or ill fitted players? yes. But did he sign/recommend players who Ashley failed to put up the cash for in some cases who were unquestionably good to great players? absolutely yes. But it's whatever, that part of the club is done now. Rafa is here now i really couldn't care less about what happened, it's over now and we don't have to concern ourselves with it anymore.

Rafa represents a future, random english t*** represents the same s*** every year till the end of time. There's a reason i'm looking more forward to this season than any other for a very, very long time.
