As usual i'm massively late to the party but i'll give my two cents anyway. I don't think Liverpool are bottling it, they are just running out of steam. They play very aggressively to begin with so eventually you're going to tire out, especially so when Klopp seems very hesitant to use his squad which is going to amplify the overall fatigue you see right now. Also i feel like when this happens you notice their flaws more, mainly that they rely so much on their front 3 for a source of creativity and goals and their midfield doesn't do anywhere enough. Fabinho, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum are all good players but they aren't going to break down a team when the front 3 is struggling to provide and need the desired help. In general what you see right now is City have a better squad and Guardiola is more prepared to use that squad and rely on it.

We are a couple of players away from having a very decent team. Already with the three CB system the passing has improved loads as both Lejuene and Schar are outstanding at distribution. Rondon's done well here, but you put a target man who will score 15-20 goals a season in that side and it would be lethal. No idea how he's done it on a budget, but Rafa is on the verge of building something special here if he is backed properly. Jović would do I think. You taking the piss?

I haven't watched much this season or football in general but i was quite impressed how comfortable we looked, in the past even when we won games under Rafa i'd always feel moments of nerves but that never really happened here. Just in general i feel like we move the ball much better now which is pleasing, as i said i haven't watched much but i doubt we looked this good balance wise before the Almiron signing. We've been solid defensively but going forward it was like trying to plow through a brick wall but that isn't the case now. We actually look like an actual good team.

In fairness, who ever misses out it's going to seem harsh on. All 4 of them are very good defenders.
