Even if it were ridiculous nobody will care in a couple of weeks anyway as long as he doesn't suck. Even when a player goes for 50m+ nobody really cares unless they are bad. Use Kyle Walker for example, is anyone really talking about that he cost 50m? nobody gives a shit, there's far too much attention paid to money by fans in general tbh. It's mostly meaningless now with how much money there is in this sport now that it's getting to the point of diminishing returns.

This i agree with, my opinion was more based on the current formation Rafa is using. I hope i'm wrong, but i have a feeling he will want a winger alongside Almiron even if they aren't playing there but have the ability to do it if necessary. Think he will see it as having more tactical flexibility and width for balance, i mean he could prove me wrong but based on his history that's what i expect.

Cardiff, Huddlesfield, Fulham and Burnley.

Point is if he's as good as reputation says he's significantly better lol, we haven't had a proper AM in years the rest doesn't really matter tbh. Honestly if he's as good as people who have watched him seems to think he is then he's someone we haven't had in forever and people are honestly underestimating the impact someone like that should have on the team.
-
Nah the point is he's a #10 and we haven't had one in forever.

Just seems harsh on Perez if he's dropped imo. It's about the balance of the team and knowing Rafa's tendencies. the team you posted but Atsu or Kenedy for Perez is what i think he'll do. Not really about Perez is more it is that Rafa will see it to be important to have some natural width alongside Almiron and Rondon.

Really can't see Rafa playing Almiron and Perez at the same time very regularly, it's not as glamorous on paper but the idea that he wouldn't play at least one winger just isn't realistic IMO.
-
Trust Rafa, outside some bargain bin signings which isn't his fault his success rate is very high for us on transfers.
-
Who said they were avocating doing it today? just meant long term is all.

Ignoring all the Ashley stuff considering the fact it's being repeated constantly and everyone is bored of repeating themselves i don't see how this isn't a positive. We have been desperate for a proper 10 in forever, so even if he's just decent then that's massive and the added bonus of Michael Owen being scrubbed from the record books at last.

If this Almiron lad is good enough we might not need Shelvey's passing ability anyway. Would much prefer those opportunities go to someone well rounded and to be frank i even prefer Ki to Shelvey.

If City truly want 5 goals they'll get them IMO, it truly depends on how much they want it. I'd say the same for Liverpool tbh, but i suspect they won't particularly and settle with 3. Doesn't that apply to all the other games we've played though? We rarely get beat by many goals, including against the good teams. It's not impossible obviously, they're brilliant. With regards to our past games against City, they're not robots so they don't always play at their very best. But if they are playing at their best and really want to make a statement i don't think there's much we can do really. We are well organized and defend well, but when a team with that much talent plays with the required amount of pace there's not much you can do to stop it.

Champagne socialist.

Doesn't mean they are going to spend 43m on him, every player in La Liga has a release clause. It's just empty words from sky to get a reaction. The likelihood is if they sign him he won't cost anywhere near 43m.
-
Next big thing apparently. Does that mean coutinho is off? They play in very different positions. Coutinho is certainly not fitting in, though. Can't say i'm surprised in the slightest.

Liverpool were strongly linked a few months ago. They need another goal scorer outside of Salah so it makes sense. Do they? doesn't seem like they struggle to score at all. If you can point to anything that they need ( it's minor because they are great team) better CB depth and probably need to bleed Fabinho and Keita into the team more as eventually you probably need to move on from Milner and Henderson as there's probably a ceiling there. But goalscoring? doesn't seem like an issue to me.
-
Most clubs are tbh, it would be very oblivious from anyone to pretend it hasn't been happening and doesn't continue to happen.
-
Didn't they spend close to if not more than 20m on Ake? as depressing as it is the fact we can't compete with them has long been known tbh.
-
Was ready to say Palmeri doesn't know anything then i realised he was just posting something he read To be clear though he doesn't.
-
Only way that happens is if they get relegated which quite obviously won't happen.
-
Don't really see the issue with it tbh. Quite clearly the players had enough of Mourinho, they aren't going to finish top 4 or go very far in the CL. So what could Solskjaer possibly do to fuck up? there isn't anything. It's just till the end of the season, it gives them time to scope out possible long term successors. If he does well great, but if it doesn't who cares? Their season has been over realistically for ages.
