Reckon it's a 4-4-2 diamond with Rooney behind Welbeck and RVP and Cleverly-Carrick-Kagawa in 3 other positions. Change for Fergie tbh, more about possession and control than being heavily reliant on the wings. -
Jose Fonte, header from a corner.

Southampton 1-0.

Crouch knock down

That forum is so good, man ffs

Not to mention how Pardew introduced the work rate into Ben Arfa's game he deserves immense credit for everything tbh.
-
not very bright is he

Hmm possible, hope not though. Would love for any of Real/Barça to keep any of their 'stars' for as long as possible rather than moving to them. Same but we both know that Madrid/Barca must have every talent known to man on their books regardless if they need them or not. Would rather he stay at Malaga before moving onto somewhere were he would start every week but i have doubt's that he could resist the advances of the big 2 in the long term. Would explode in my boxers if we was even linked with someone like that tbh

Can really see Barca going for Isco if i'm honest, seems nuts but he's the closest i see in Spain right now to Iniesta in terms of style.

Knew this was coming ffs.

Nice to see it's starting to hit home. a nice comfortable win at the Stadium of s**** for us will probably put Marty under a bit of pressure. I seem to say this regularly with derbies but it's got draw written all over it for me. Quite frankly i agree, but i obviously hope we win.

I would go with Ramirez personally, Sahin might be a more accomplished player and arguably more talented but he's a CM. Ramires is a AM and unlike Sahin will almost certainly start every game and has shown already he is capable of scoring and assisting in equal measure. -

I think he's just assuming because that's how they played against Cluj in the CL and against us they played a sort of diamond too. -

Your probably find most people that want Ferguson at LB also want Santon in the team but at expense of Simpson at RB. I got a bit of excited after the Bordeaux game saying he has to start tbh, he should be one of the first players off the bench but not starting IMO. Would go with.... Harper Simpson Williamson Perch Santon Ben Arfa Cabaye Tiote Jonas Ba Cisse Would prefer to see 4-3-3 that we started with yesterday but with Jonas, Ba, Santon and Ben Arfa coming in for Anita, Shola, Ferguson and Obertan but i suspect Pards will revert back to type and in this game it's probably the right move. -
Been saying it as well he kept things ticking over with some great distribution, won possession on several occasions and put in a few great through balls one of which to Shola which if it was Ba or Cisse probably would have been a goal. Ok he should have scored his 1 v 1 but it's not surprising a passing midfielder is not accomplished in front of goal.
-
I think people are understating Anita's performance last night, he kept things ticking over in midfield and played a couple of great through balls and won possession back on numerous occasions. That being said Jonas should undoubtedly start due to his work rate ( tbf to Anita he's no slouch in that regard either), proven big match performer among other things etc etc.

You could say the same about their defence against our attack tbf, both defences are weak. -

Ba and Cisse linking up for a goal -
Ferguson looked good as well tbf the rest just performed how you would expect solid but unspectatular. None the less a very pleasing performance which could hopefully be used a springboard for the rest of the season.

Agree with that, although i do think us playing much better did force those mistakes if we played like we did in the other games i mentioned i think the game would have been a lot closer.
