  1. As far as i'm concerned with Demba's demeanour in the post match conference and in general it can't be easy to act more joyful etc when you haven't eaten for so long. I know one thing if hadn't eaten for as long as Demba has i would be grumpy as hell.
  2. Wasn't just Cisse, most of the team didn't look fit but that isn't an major issue it will come is what important just to get the win as it was just a much a battle against our own fitness as it was against Spurs.

Ben Arfa being dreadful and awful is especially funny when you consider he's the most picked midfielder in fantasy football Just shows are hilariously bitter they are. ( not that we needed anything to prove that anyway)
  4. I really don't understand how he looked so match ready, he hasn't kicked a ball since the Euros ffs which he didn't play a big part in anyway
  5. Agreed he had 7 or 8 shots today and scored from one of them and even that was a bit lucky if i'm totally honest. Well he was born in Greenwich so he might have a chance.....
  6. Ba and Cisse are great in a front 3 but as a partnership they just don't work IMO. One of the many reasons why 4-3-3 has to be used going forward.
  7. Agreed thats one of the things ( many things) i like about Pardew when he makes a mistake he usually rectifies and accepts he was wrong. I just hope we use that going forward and don't keep having to change to it when things get bad just keep to it.
  8. Speaking of getting him into the game more, there's another massive advantage to 4-3-3 as 4-4-2 pushes him back to the half way line. Our most creative player on the half way line at the beginning of every attack
  9. Hard to judge really on nothing more than a cameo.
  10. Agree with that, you could clearly see we wasn't fit it will clearly come with more games. I just hope we play more like the second half.... system and playing style.
  11. Never did understand why people were hyping QPR ( not on here but in general) they just bought a lot of utter shite.... Looking forward to Swansea how do, as they actually play some decent stuff now and not the sleep-inducing stuff they did last season.
  12. Liverpool top team? They should focus on finishing above Everton and Swansea before thinking about the big boys
  13. Thing is we actually had more possession, the problem we had today was creating actual chances. It will come though, as long as we don't play like we did in the first half.
  14. What I love Jonas, i just don't think he's one of the "untouchables" now we have Anita and Marveaux is back from injury.
  15. I don't mean to nitpick but Michu is more Sigurdsson's replacement De Guzman is more Allen's replacement. Still very good signings, i actually think Laudrup is a much better manager than Rodgers and that's based over his career not just today. And he plays attractive free-flowing football, not that turgid backwards and sideways defensive shit that Rodgers swears by.
  16. This, 4-4-2 is f*cking awful i cannot understand for the life of me why we stick with it.
  17. I think his workrate is so important, that and he can fill any position near enough when needed, like a formation change, injury or whatever comes up. That and he's a decent footballer too. Agree in a sense but's not like we would have a problem with workrate with Anita, Cabaye and Tiote in the middle.
  18. Agreed but i don't see why he "has to play" sure if we are going to hoof it and play 4-4-2 then yeah but if we are going to be more on the front foot, more possession based and 4-3-3 i don't think he's irreplaceable. Don't get me wrong i love Jonas, i think he's terribly underrated by neutrals but we have so many options now and i don't consider him an "untouchable" like i would Colo, Krul, Tiote, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Ba and Cisse. If it's a big game they play, simple as i don't feel the same way with Jonas.
  19. Agree with that, he's one of those players that always needs games and consistent ones at that for his distribution and other technical areas for that matter to flourish. Having said that he did improve in the second half when we switched to 4-3-3 and he had more options to pass to.
  20. Personally i thought he was poor today, nothing to do with scapegoating out of habit just something i noticed he was lucky not to get a second yellow on at least 3 or 4 occasions. As it happens i didn't think Santon was very good defensively either. Because we won the game don't mean i should perfectly act like their performances were good when they wasn't. Perch and Taylor were very good but Santon and Simpson? nope, not for me. But at the end of the day we won so it doesn't matter a great deal.
  21. Still can't believe he plays for us
  22. It's not a bad comparison tbh, at least in terms of style.
  23. Glad to see Rodgers awful style of football getting off to a disastrous start. Liverpool really are the gift that keeps on giving.
  24. There's a goal on Youtube somewhere with running down the wing, jinking past two players and smashing the ball in the net. Looked like a proper winger tbh
