  1. I expect the NUST to be doing it's best to keep both sides happy. With a decent ownership/football association this would be worthwhile but in the present circumstances it's fairly academic. In which case I'd rather a stronger stance personally. The protest health and safety assessment was embarrassing as fuck mind you.
  2. NUFC costs him nothing year on year, but the additional 50m sale price plus potential opportunities of selling to PIF, assuming it gives him/SD an "in" to an overseas market, is significant. Why would he not wait a year or 2 to see what happens with the legal action - the PIF deposit essentially pays for it.
  3. Best bit is that Bruce can't retaliate as they banned him.
  4. The stark contrast of them fired Bruce for being shite in a lower league whilst we just let him try and keep us ticking over in the PL
  5. I mean, 50k is quite significant. NUST have made them the priority and always have done. Not sure why people are so surprised by it year after year.
  6. You don't really have a right to reply I'm afraid. Half the problem with Twitter - peeps can write utter shite and there's minimal governance on it. You've also pretty much done the same thing by calling him out here when he won't read it. From your post, we'd all think he was a wanker, but we haven't seen what he posted and he can't defend himself so he looks "guilty". I mean, from experience there's a strong chance he was a dick but my point stands Basically Twitter is a shithole and not worth getting wound up by it.
  7. "Having finished last season in 12th place in the Premier League, and in the top six of the form table over the final nine fixtures, the club at all levels maintains a strong belief in its current squad. We have a talented and committed group of players who have shown that they are fully capable of delivering" No mention or praise of Bruce here, in fact they seem to pointedly avoid referring to him directly. Hopefully all is not happy in paradise.
  8. Out of interest what money to they owe? I'd assumed the deposit would have been paid up front.
  9. Where precisely did he state this?
  10. It's very much the managers fault for facilitating the regime.
  11. He can only get it back by taking it out if the club which will.. A. Take years B. Devalue the club
  12. Assuming he wants to put more cash in, which based on the lack of spending is debatable, to get that loan repaid he'd have to take the money back out of the club which reduces the value. Yes he could sell ASM or whoever, but that loses a valuable asset which reduces the price of the club. The difference to last time is that he actively wants to sell the club now. I'm not sure he'd have the desire to pump money in that he's not guaranteed to get back.
  13. The same as he'd have to spend/fund to get promoted to get his 350m?
  14. Who said they'd pay 350m for it?

    Graeme Jones

I reckon Jones has some influence but Bruce is too arrogant to ever allow him full autonomy. Though just because Jones is talking to the team doesn't mean it's necessarily his message. Bruce has also said that Jones takes the forwards training and Bruce himself leads the defensive side - we've scored twice in 2 of our games so we can score goals, it's the goals we're leaking that is costing us. Either way, the setup is far from what's required for a PL team.
  16. Assuming it works the same as the old forum software, you can see when someone you've blocked posts and can manually read it if so desire. Forgot who I blocked (maybe calminthechaos) but I'd occasionally click to see if they were still posting shite.
  17. The only likely difference that will make is guaranteed relegation when we're docked points. Takeover impact, not so much.
  18. Yeah, you can pretty much say anyone's a wum if they have a different opinion to you and make it. MP rarely pops up and posts, it's usually in response to something. Wish I did have his belief mind you
  19. Yeah, I'm inclined to agree - any "easy" wins would have happened by now.
  20. So you'll quite happily follow football as long as we're one of the big boys and not the cannon fodder?
  21. I'm not overly confident to be honest but likewise wouldn't be surprised if it did get pushed through. I do think that if it does fail Ashley will still look to swiftly find another buyer. He'd lose out on a fair few million which would be fairly amusing
  22. Stooping to grammar criticism is grim tbf
  23. So desperate to remain current
