I like his "managers usually like to bring their own person in" schtick No Steve, they like to bring in someone who isn't totally shit at their job.
-
Hope there's no 14 day cooling off period
-
So we still think Caulkin has an inside line with the consortium? Wondering whether it's worth resubscribing to the Athletic....
-
Will need a skip just for his food waste. All his detailed gameplan and training notes will fit in a plastic carrier bag to be incinerated.
-
It's happening because we're Newcastle United!!
-
We only protested against Ashley because of his treatment of UK workers apparently so we're now huge hypocrites of course
-
Bruce to be fired without a win this season would be oh so sweet. A decent manager to come in and make an immediate and obvious improvement to top it all off.
-
Would a mod awfully mind locking the thread, or even the forum, until tomorrow AM? Could do with getting some sleep. TIA
-
An hour?! It'll take weeks for my body to replenish all the semen I expel 3 mins after the announcement.
-
Masters soiled himself that the PL were next after the mighty NUST mobilised themselves against Bruce.
-
Ah ha, gotcha. Cheers!

Could KSA or whoever actually just agree to be a "director" now or is that a big no-no? They may have not wanted to before as they knew the BeIn privacy case was an issue but do they have any objections otherwise? Why would they care?
-
Have they ever asked if the members want to protest?
-
Instead of a boycott, need some of you NE peeps to start glueing yourself all over the place, Insulate style. That'll get some attention and column inches going.
-
The arrogance of them assuming people are expecting the trust to force a sacking of Bruce. No, we just want you to deliver a message that the fanbase has genuine concerns about the running of the club, management included. They're just middlemen and unfortunately the key players are shit ones.

"It's not easy, but the experience I have had helps you. It still disappoints you and upsets you." Good to see he can draw on his experience as a perennial loser to get us through this.

Pretty much drew the stats scores, which away from home is pretty much a win right??

Posted this in the takeover thread as parallels are interesting but also talks about their supporters group: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58736570 "An extensive survey of our members and the wider fanbase, carried out midway through the 2020-21 season, reaffirmed how supporters view a change in ownership as a priority if we are to rebuild the supporter experience at our club." Had a little gander at the supporters group: http://hammersunited.com/statement/ "We are a non-political group; our soul interest is the supporters of West Ham United. This is not a protest group. We are a supporter’s group. However, we coordinate protest where our members deem it necessary. At present, our members want us to prioritise continuing to campaign for a change of ownership. Whilst maintaining our campaign, we work with the club on other matters, on behalf of our members. At all times, our members decide our stance on campaigns and protest." Also from the BBC article : "But Paul Colborne, co-founder and chair of Hammers United- and who is currently banned from attending West Ham matches after he was part of a pitch invasion protest before a game against Burnley in March 2018"

- PIF still in - Arbitration 3/4 January for a week - If we win arbitration then takeover is approved - Other credible bidders (likely offering less due to market valuations) - PIF may not pay the original value for reason above. Hence Ashley "loss" What more do you want man??
-
West Ham United protesting against their owners. Even though things are looking rosy at the mo, they're standing their ground against the historical issues. Good on them I guess... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58736570 What I find most annoying though, isn't that they can organise a protest, but that Rio F is backing them and some potential new owners. What happened to "it's their club and they can do what they like". Fucking hypocritical knob.
-
Offered arbitration didn't they? And then PIF officially "pulled out".
-
If people do find WhatsApps too new and scary, I'm happy to add them to my takeover MySpace page.
-
Isn't the point of them mentioning the importance of analysing the market that they may be credible now for Xm, which is what the club is currently worth, but actually that's less than the PIF agreed 340m? Edit - I'm only going off tweets etc so may have lost context

He'll fly out Sunday morning so he can smash out a couple of airport full english breakfasts to kick-start the holiday.

Nobody knows of course. But I think he might be looking at a team that finished 13th under Rafa who had just signed Almiron, then added: A 40m striker ASM >20m Wilson >20m Fraser (assuming Howe was a fan) Willock 25m Got some youngsters who have displayed some talent under a decent manager - Longstaffs/Lewis Then finished 13th and 12th under a fucking useless mess. Surely he'd be thinking he could work and improve on that?? Plus as much as it doesn't feel like it to us at the mo, NUFC are a "big" club.
