    Darren Bent

Playing Darren Bent as a number 10 will only work if the opposition don't bother turning up.
  3. Nah - I think he can play on the wing. I don't think it's his best position, but his best games for us have come out there - Fulham (h), Anzhi (h).
  4. He's clearly an upgrade on some of our wide options, but I think Sinclair's pretty average.

Eh? We've been given the green light by who? Aston Villa?
  6. L'Equipe TV's still the only source for this, like. Nowt on their site.

  8. Ben Smith ‏@BenSmithBBC 6m #LFC & West Ham agree fee in region of £15m for Andy Carroll. Player yet to decide if he wants the move. More on @BBCSport
  9. They were 18th when Cisse left with almost no chance of staying up. He left, they imporoved and stayed up. And they also hired Streich at pretty much the same time.
  10. Nah - they hired a better manager.

Which included games in which we definitely did not perform well - like Stoke and Wigan. But aye, whatever.

No, we're not Chelsea. I won't be sad the see the back of Pardew, although if/when it happens his replacement needs to be an inspiring choice (i.e no Martin Jols). Change of manager alone definitely won't have us threatening the top 6 again though. Far too many of these players are mediocre, cowardly, or a minging combination of both. Agreed. We've actually got a legitimate reason to make them.
  13. There's an onus on him, in the position he played today, to dictate a tempo and start attacks. That doesn't mean he has to become Xabi Alonso - and he can still do this "keeping it simple" - but there has to be a speed and a positive direction to his play. Loads of useless possession in our half with no penetration because we give the opposition huge amounts of time to get a good defensive shape. I do agree but that doesn't mean he was bad, no one said he was outstanding or anything just he did his job and he did for the most part. A lot of the things being said about him that he was rash, taking chances and not tracking the midfield is bullocks. He did all of the opposite today, because some have large ego's that they are not allowed to admit it doesn't mean it happened. I agree with the second part, but you said we "cannot complain really", which is not true.

  15. He has been fit for the vast majority of the season.

    Back to basics?

Perch is shit, man. He shouldn't be anywhere near the team.
  18. Really? Pardew said he would only start full training again later this week.
