We are actually ~1st in most expected points tables.

this is an unintentionally perfect capture of mental health stigma

Time for MBS to start sending his phishing links again to Milan management.
-
To be fair, he's only reporting what's on the front page of Italy's largest sports paper about the largest sports story in Italy. I'd say it's not looking good.
-
The expected upside, given his likely price, is not hugely compelling. Really good player though.

Looks like Fagoli is agreeing a plea deal, and should have a sentence by the end of the week. Italian media think 10-18 months. https://sport.sky.it/calcio/serie-a/2023/10/16/calcio-scommesse-giocatori-news-oggi

Willock is the best progressive carrier, with him and Joelinton different to Bruno with respect to how they might progress. We don't have anything like Bruno, both as a profile and talent ceiling. That said, given how good Bruno is he's not easy to replace.
-
Vast majority of them were corners iirc.
-
His profile is nothing like Bruno. His biggest asset is out-of-possession and if we swapped him for Bruno we'd lose most of our ball-progressing ability.

Because lots of people needlessly die after being hit by drivers using their phones.

Our best player by a margin. Good today.
-
They actually aren't that bad. They comfortably beat Luton on most expected goals models.
-
Your argument in support of Anderson is that he looked OK in a team that did well. I'm saying I don't think that means anything. The same is true of eg van de Beek.
-
This is not how you evaluate players or their profiles.
-
Probably skepticism over whether the second part is true. Personally, he seems like a decent progressive carrier but I'm not sure there's a huge amount else.
-
Legit but extremely early question to ask whether as his influence has grown (and they appointed his brother in senior scouting position) talent ID has got a bit worse.
-
I think he probably has an average-to-goodish talent ceiling, which is probably difficult for us to reason with given his polarising nature.
-
On individual games this is possible, but as an average over the season our luck was probably par. Results are mostly just noisy realisations of a random process. We're all just trying to work out what the underlying trend might be from a small sample size. I think there's stuff to be semi-concerned about, is all.
-
I assume you're not going to like this but an ensemble of public expected goals models suppose they should have scored 2.
-
They created a lot more good chances. We created none.
-
You can be happy with the result without reverse-engineering the performance, or giving anyone grief for discussing our issues in the game. It wasn't particularly close tonight and we should have been comfortably beaten.
-
Our total inability to create chances is v concerning.
-
True but we've created very few chances against our last 3 opponents.
