  1. Don't understand the opposition to Townsend signing on a 6m loan? Decent player and a far better winger than any others we have with the exception of Aarons who is presumably dead. He'd come in and immediately do a good job for us, which is what we need right now. Perez is not a winger and Thauvin is just not good enough.
  2. What the fuck are you talking about man? It's not like he made a Darlow style clanger to gift them the game - he had a ridiculously harsh penalty decision given against him that 9/10 referees would have correctly turned down and aye he made a suspect pass for the 2nd, but were the rest of the team busting a gut to get back? Could other defenders have done better? He played quite well and made an error there but to say 'he alone' cost us 2 goals is nothing short of utter bollocks.
  3. Ita not bollocks at all, its not a law but its guidance on interpreting law 12 (page 125) Handling the ball Handling the ball involves a deliberate act of a player making contact with the ball with his hand or arm. The referee must take the following into consideration: • the movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards the hand) • the distance between the opponent and the ball (unexpected ball) • the position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an infringement • touching the ball with an object held in the hand (clothing, shinguard, etc.) counts as an infringement • hitting the ball with a thrown object (boot, shinguard, etc.) counts as an infringement In yesterday case Mbemba has prevented Fellani from having a header at goal or to another Man Utd player. His arm was above his head which is an unnatural position and this its a foul and a penalty kick Well done. You've just completely contradicted your own argument by trying to support it.
  4. If we can get £8m for him and it's reinvested in the team for a new CB and/or striker I'll be quite happy with that. As it is, Ashley will probably keep hold of the dollar as he's spent too much for his liking this season.
  5. I'm probably being a bit harsh but on the replay Rooney's strike for the third was heading straight for Colo's dish and I'm sure he moved his head away. If that was Steven Taylor he'd have took that full pelt in the face like a proper geordie lad and we've have went on to draw 2-2 maybe.
  6. Never thought there'd be a point where I'd agree with Garth fucking Crooks of all people, but that clip where he talks about Mike Dean wanting to be the centre of attention is just bang on. I can't stand the cunt. Man U's pen was very fortunate, Mbemba's arm was in a natural position as he's falling back - but had he been in the correct position in the first place we could have avoided the scenario altogether. Stonewall pen for us either missed or turned down. Fellaini and/or Smalling should have been off. Rugby tackle on Toney was a penalty for me, if Darmian (?) leaves him he probably isn't getting to that ball, but he's got no eyes on the ball and focuses purely on wrestling him to the floor. If you ask me, Man Utd missed chances - but so did we and we had to play against the referee as well so all this shit from their side about 2 points dropped is a fucking crock. If anything, we were the side that dropped the points.

There's being fickle, and there is being completely thick as fuck.
  8. As Colback and Tiote are such horrific forward passers of the ball and in general sometimes a long ball is totally necessary. In fairness to Colo his punts forward are normally in the right areas for one of our players to get on and his passing range is better than any of our CM's with the exception of Shelvey now.
  9. This is all just classic Pardew. Next season will be absolutely fantastic as Palace go into meltdown and Pardew is conducting 'Pardew is a wanker' chants from the bench.
  10. He still looked a little short of confidence at times which is to be expected due to the lack of service/real match practice of actually playing as a striker with support from his team mates, but I reckon this was best game for us so far. He done fantasically well against Smalling who has been the best CB in the league so far this season IMO.
  11. I hope this is us turning a corner as far as goalscoring is concerned. As a collective unit the team played well with the exception of Perez (who I'm a massive fan of) who was completely anonymous and sluggish when he did have the ball. Anyway, the biggest plus for me was how more assured and confident we were in the final third instead of just sending Wij, Mitro and Perez there against 6 defensive players behind the ball and hoping for the best. I'm still wary though of the typical nature of our team to raise their game against the 'big teams' despite the fact Man Utd are completely s*** and we still couldn't beat them. McClaren was talking about the teams character and I'm unsure if it's down to the 'play against the big team' mentality we occasionally adopt, whether they're lifted by the new signings or they actually have turned a bit of a corner and look ready for a fight. Only time will tell though. Edit: Also loved Mitro's Ketsbaia impression after scoring.
  12. He's upgrade on our CM options, but he won't displace Colback as McClaren doesn't have the bottle to drop him despite him being complete and utter dogshit. I reckon we'll wind up going back to the 4-2-3-1 Pardew-esque bullshit which will completely limit Shelvey and continue to starve Mitro of service . Colback Shelvey Sissoko Ayoze Wij Mitro

    Sunderland

N'Doye who was at Hull last season is having a medical according to SSN. He done OK when he was there first few games and then utter shit after IIRC. Basically, yet another short term solution for them.
  14. Of course, but i understand it tbh as none of us have a f***ing clue. I'm comparing him to Gouffran as we have no idea where he'll play and it's a very uninspiring signing which reeks of desperation and cluelessness, similar to Gouff's.
  15. So are a lot of players in Ligue 1 who choose to represent France. He's born in a French colony and has played in France since '99. You know what I'm saying anyway, so don't be a bell.
  16. f*** off Even our current starting central midfielders are better than Gouffran in that position and that's saying something. But Gouffran isn't a central/holding midfielder and neither is he really? To be honest it's anyones f***ing guess where he'll play - if he goes CM then I'll say he'll be no better than Anita. If he plays on the wing I'll say he'll do no better than Gouffran. Basically all I'm saying is I'm very f***ing underwhelmed with this signing and it's another Frenchman to keep the rest of the lazy disinterested s***s in the dressing room clique company.
  17. I'm gonna put this out there and say he won't be much better than Gouffran.
  18. Likewise, looks like our scouting network have broadened their horizon's from Youtube. We'll be in for Adu next.
  19. Gouffran should never, ever be allowed to play for us again. We have nothing to gain by playing him. We should just hoy out some youngsters and crack on, we're going to get whooped no matter who we put out.

    Papiss Cissé

Riviere is going to be like a new signing, just you all watch.
  21. Aston Villa 0-2 Crystal Palace Bournemouth 1-2 West Ham Newcastle 1-1 Man Utd Chelsea 2-1 West Brom Man City 2-1 Everton Southampton 1-1 Watford Stoke 1-0 Norwich Swansea 1-0 Sunderland Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal Spurs 1-0 Leicester Spurs 3-1 Sunderland Bournemouth 1-1 Norwich Chelsea 1-1 Everton Man City 2-1 Crystal Palace Newcastle 1-1 West Ham Southampton 1-1 West Brom Aston Villa 0-1 Leicester Liverpool 2-1 Man Utd Stoke 0-2 Arsenal Swansea 1-1 Watford
  22. Depending how well Chelsea do, I'm in danger of possibly getting beat by the person who is 3rd bottom of the entire N-O league in H2H this week.
  23. Walcott loves to score against us as well and with our back 4's pace (well, lack of it) I think he's got to be nailed on to start.
  24. Bought it on Kindle for £5. I really hope the money goes to the right place.
