I feel bad for Monk but I'm not sure what Swansea expected going into the season with Gomis being their only proper recognised striker, as much as he had a good spell in the opening part of the season he's totally off the boil and has no competition to push him into performing better. It really doesn't surprise me they just can't score goals.

As much as I don't like him or his poor attitude, I honestly feel he'd be excellent for us part of a 3 man midfield in the centre and far more consistent to boot. He's just not a winger at all.

Christ man I was seething last night, my lasses brother who's a Liverpool fan was banging on about how Pardew was the perfect manager for us going on about his league place finishes relentlessly, told him all about the constant batterings we took under him, the amount of derby defeats, serious mismanagement of players and dragging the club through the dirt with his disgraceful touchline antics. All I got back was yeah but he finished 5th and 10th which is great for a club like Newcastle. Despite me telling him league finishes don't tell the whole story and that's the reason he wanted Rodgers out who got 7th and 6th place finishes outside of the 2nd which is Liverpool's level he started banging on about how "it's totally different" as Rodgers "just wasn't good enough". Honestly don't know if he was winding me up or is a mong - anyway we shook on a £50 bet that Pardew will either be sacked or relegate Palace NEXT season after he has his usual honeymoon opening season... Basically just buying money off him.

Going off what I've seen from him since signing for us, I honestly think although he was a cracking player he's finished as a footballer (especially in the Premier League). Nowhere near fit enough or strong enough to be a useful player to us and he's so immobile in a fast-paced league.

Mbemba, midway through second half, was like f*** it nothing's on I'm bombing forward, nearly worked as well. That's the 2nd time he's done it (against Norwich iirc) and both times it's actually looked promising only for our teams shit movement to give him no option, him lose the ball and us to almost concede.

Adebayor would be as much use to us as Riviere, he's a good player still but his attitude seriously hinders his ability to play the game.
