  1. This will be as big a disaster as McClaren. It's pointless even going into why he's such a shambolic appointment - you'd be here forever.
  2. What about Shelvey ? He's more than capable of picking out the passes to those areas. He just needs a decent partner alongside him in the mould of the Tiote of old.
  3. With more organisation and improved quality across the board I'm sure we won't see the same sort of mad shit like his through ball to Jelavic to give West Ham a goal against us. Rafa will keep him spot on.
  4. Has a class chant too. Top player.
  5. Don't think even the hardest done-by African would see Glasgow as paradise.
  6. I'd be happy to give those lot a shot under Rafa, provided Haidara & SDJ can stay fit. I do feel that Saivet has something to offer though, based on what I think his attributes are and nowt else.
  7. For the part in bold, Shelvey is a fantastic passer of the ball - it's his mobility and half-arsedness that are the issue. I'd like to see more of Saivet before writing him off as I think he could potentially be a bit of an all-rounder. From the very little I've seen of him I reckon he should be well ahead of Colback.
  8. Its the championship, not the champions league. Man, we had an immobile Alan Smith bossing the championship the last time. Smith bossed the Championship howay man - I still say play Colback and Shelvey in that central midfield and we will struggle. I know it's the Championship but Shelvey is only half arsed some of the time and Colback is a shocking excuse for a footballer. said the same as el cid a few times, think we need some physicality and athleticism in that midfield personally http://e2.365dm.com/13/09/16-9/20/moussa-sissoko-newcastle-united_3004970.jpg?20130917160350
  9. Our central midfield is awful, apart from SDJ there isn't a midfielder in that position capable of scoring 8+ goals this season, but what are the chances of him even managing 8+ games ? I have faith in Shelvey to turn it round, but Colback is fucking abysmal. Tiote should be ahead of him every week.
  10. http://www.themag.co.uk/2016/07/2-newcastle-players-going-vital-rarely-get-mention-newcastle-united/ What a clem.
  11. I'd agree but it's 2 of the biggest teams in the world playing in a commercial game in China, it's just the way football is. Both clubs (not that they need it) would have made an absolute fortune just from 1 friendly game where the kids would have played and the odd 'superstar player' cameo. The Chinese would have turned out in force thinking Beckham was still playing for Man U I bet though.
  12. He's shit and a massive doyle.
  13. Aye. Rafa gave him till 1st August off due to his involvement in the Euro's so it's doubtful he's going to play against Fulham at all if he's still here. Obviously he's desperately pushing for a move before he has to report back for training though, hopefully he gets his wish as long as someone is willing to stump up £25m+ for him.
  14. Aarons having another storming pre-season.

From what I recall it was always the first half of the season was shite, but then second half he always had a good run.

In other words: his desire to be pushed as opposed to jumping first in order to secure the maximum compensation payout possible meant we were not able to bring him to Sunderland previously.

Good appointment for them. Hopefully it backfires though.
  18. What's this ? I remember him scoring but don't recall anything disrespectful, like. Tried youtubing and just found his rain dance with Oba.
