  1. So hard to predict us these days - our home form has actually been OK of late (1 defeat in 5, and that was the pretty harsh late Everton winner) and the West Ham game was some of the best football we've played in ages. Think a lot depends on how we start, if it's nervous and edgy or we go behind early then I think the crowd will turn, and that could be the beginning of the end for McClaren.
  2. Well if you bought in the players you should of there wouldn't have been a problem you useless c***. Who are they? I presume Gibson is one - not sure of the other two. Dan Barlaser, Liam Gibson, Jamie Sterry and Callum Williams according to .com

    Chancel Mbemba

Fucksake. You just know if they're admitting to a month he's actually going to be out for at least double that.
  4. Had a quiet game but them none of our lot played well. Think Coleman is one of the fastest right backs in the league which neutralised his pace, should do better against whichever centre half Pulis has playing full back tomorrow.
  5. Aye, would rather play a young lad who knows the position rather than sticking a winger like Aarons out there.

    Steve McClaren

Not doubting it, but if they are thinking about doing it and have a target lined up, why not just do it now?? Surely the more games, the better for the new man??!! As for Rodgers, when his name was mentioned by a caller on TS tonight, Ando made a definite 'urgh' at the mention of his name. I guess he doesn't rate him. My guess would be they thought the new signings would be enough to save the day but the Everton result and especially performance must have them shitting themselves. With only 3 days between games not much chance to make the change before the weekend but unless there's a dramatic improvement I reckon he could even go before the Chelsea game.

Louise Taylor seems to think he only has the next 2 games to save his job http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/feb/04/steve-mcclaren-newcastle-reign
  8. I'm a 9 now. Without a change of manager we're gone.

    Steve McClaren

That's actually quite impressive compared to his overall record for us.
  10. Really missed him tonight, when's he due back?
  11. Gave the ball away badly a few times but to be fair he rarely had many options on. If we had a decent striker he would've had 2 assists as well.
  12. Genuinely one of the worst performances I've ever seen, the lack of basic professionalism throughout the side is staggering.

    Steve McClaren

Sack him. Sack him now, If he stays, we're down.
  14. Doumbia's visa has come through apparently - should be on the bench.
  15. Norwich are the big hope for us now - they've lost 4 league games in a row and shipped 14 goals. 3-0 cup defeat in there too. I expect to lose tonight so the West Brom game is absolutely massive.
  16. Lot of moaning on that Palace forum about their injuries - according to Physioroom they only have 4 players out. Wonder if a certain someone has been banging that particular drum so long they've started to believe it?
  17. 5 defeats on the bounce, no wins and only 2 goals in the last 7. Took a little while, but he's back.
  18. It's in our own hands at least, still got to play Villa, Norwich and the mackems, win all 3 of those and we should scrape enough points elsewhere to be safe.
  19. Aye, it'll only be our finishing that lets us down, keep playing like that and we'll be fine...
  20. Apparently Berahino was booed on for WBA then Swansea scored a minute later

    Florian Thauvin

RED CARD: #Thauvin's return to OM has ended with a dismissal. Stupid, lunging tackle on Montpellier byline. Only been on 11 mins. #NUFC
  22. Since the start of last season they've played against 10 men 7 times. In the same period we haven't had a single red card for the oppostion, while 10 of ours have been sent off.
  23. Watched a few of their games lately, they always seem to start really quickly then run out of steam, so we really need to keep it tight for the first 20 minutes or so.
  24. Dummett and Colback both fit according to Physioroom: http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php First time in ages we've not been top of that table, had to scroll all the way down to 9th!
