  1. The was an article on BBC about this a few weeks back
  2. Managed to get corporate tickets for Villa in 2006, me and a workmate (also a Newcastle fan) so we had the full lunch, drinks combo and then into a fenced off section in the Holt end (I think) Anyway, we take our seats for kick off and wor Sherla scores in the first minute We both jump up, high fives, completely forgetting where we were. Next thing, some cunt is firing polo mints at us and then foxes glacier mints So then they equalise and everything goes back to normal (with some abuse hurled in our direction mind) and then the Zog scored Couldn't help ourselves like, went proper radgie Steward came and told us he'd have to throw us out if we didn't calm down. Won 2-1 and got Shearer's autograph after the game
  3. Brilliant vid that. Love the almost primal like eruption of the crowd when Remy scores. Could watch that moment over and over. Spine tingling. I have. Watched it absolutely shitloads, which I often do but I seem to have watched Remy's goal more than most. I just love it when the crowd quietens for a fraction of a second, in anticipation of the shot. Then erupts. The clatter off the post aids this. The old collective breath hold Class
  4. Its hard to put into words, how much I dislike this little runt Sick note little fucker
  5. Certainly adopted by the Catholic church in Ireland (both Roman & Anglican) but predates all churches and was originally a Druid symbol (or something like that) Remember something about "the four elements" or something like that. Can't be arsed to google it, but it's something of that nature.
  6. Ok, so google tells me it's a white power/neo nazi symbol, so that seems pretty clear now Did not know that. The Celtic Cross doesn't necessarily have to have the longer bottom bit, but in any event, this symbol is known as "the Celtic cross" amongst them because they consider the "celts" as the true "Europeans" and as such, racial pure. depressing
  7. Well, it's defo a Celtic Cross, not sure what the neo nazi significance of that is, perhaps it has a different name or something. Strange
  8. You've clearly never been to a Northern Ireland game then
  9. Standing it's the ONLY way to watch football. Here's an embarrassing admission, when I watch us on the TV, I have to stand In the living room, standing on my own, like a cock
  10. It was very noticeable that a lot of the time Cheick would drop back for the ball and Moke would side foot the ball 5 yards to him and let him get on with it they've obviously all agreed that he's turboshit with the ball and worked out a plan. Still, that or a sideways pass along the back line I can kinda deal with if it's causes no danger. It's a dreadful situation for a professional footballer mind, but it is what it is. Bizarre as it is, he actually has some good attributes defensively, good organiser, canny at heading, doesn't shirk a tackle, couple of big ticks for a CB. As much as I'd not have him in there in an ideal world, I quite like him, honest pro doing the best he can.
  11. Meh For every good result we'll record, there'll be an embarrassing fuck up to counter balance it. I suspect we'll be bang in the middle come the end of the season. As I said, meh
  12. If they stay up, honestly, they'll deserve it from this position
  13. Great performance from Mike today Made a cracking sliding lunge in the second half Fair play
  14. They already pretty much down
  15. Gouff man Just love this guy, good finish and great energy all game. Also one of my favourite players, his application and desire is terrific, tracks back, tackles, makes good runs off the ball, a good all rounder. Whatever he lacks in all out ability, he more than makes up for in desire
  16. What a fucking result It's amazing what a win can do for your mood Going to enjoy a few beers now and toast the lads for a great performance overall. Well done boys
