  1. Bullshit imo. Look for other targets is pointless, we aren't going to find one who's better than Simpson for less than the price Lille want for Debuchy. He's very good, he wants to come and the price is reasonable. What's the problem. The problem clearly is we won't offer what Lille consider to be a reasonable offer. I'm not convinced Ashley/Llambias are really being realistic about most of their offers, it was always going to be rejected imo.
  2. We need to forget Debuchy & move on to other targets. We aren't offering what the player is worth & we can't expect teams to hand over their players for peanuts just because they want to leave. We've been quite cuntish about this whole transfer imo.
  3. Well, thank fuck that's over.
  4. He's only JUST turned 27 last week I think, so he is technically now over our "will not sign players on permanent transfers if they are over 26" policy. Who was the last player NUFC signed on a permanent deal (not including loans/free transfers) who was OVER 26?
  5. I would be surprised if we got him, I'm forgetting about this one for now it's become a bit of a joke.

    Loving this too. Very classy.
  8. I just can't see Liverpool selling or even loaning him to us. I'd think they'd rather he went to West Ham but the player won't leave if he doesn't agree it, which appears to be the issue. I can see him staying at Liverpool & fighting for his place, probably then available for a lesser fee in January.

    NUFC Kits

@NUFCOfficial just tweeted a reply to someone saying kit released 2nd week in August.
  10. Has his canoe appeared at tynemouth?
  11. Debuchy, adieu Inter Cabaye unveils its future It is shortly agreement between Lille and Newcastle for the transfer of Mathieu Debuchy. The French full-back, which was also followed by Inter, will play in the Premier League following the footsteps of former companion to Lille Yohan Cabaye, spent last year more to Magpies. The same confess Cabaye the intentions of his friend: "Mathieu has taken a hard choice to leave Lille, but has now decided. Now I hope that Newcastle closes quickly with your purchase. I talked with him two days ago and I said he is eager to join us. I'm waiting here, because it is a great friend and can become a very important player for our team, "the words of the midfielder. Despite these statements, the French press insists that Newcastle has pulled back and the back there is only Inter. But considering the confessions of Cabaye, which shows the will of the individual concerned, and the fact that Inter now transpires unwillingness to invest 7 million of Debuchy, publications across the Alps lose consistency and reliability. http://www.fcinternews.it/?action=read&idnotizia=87616
  12. Interesting, that's the first time I've seen it reported that a fee has been agreed.
  13. Even if he's coming, holding your breath until Saturday is not advisable.
  14. Pardew says 1 hopefully 2 in by Saturday, I reckon one of them will be Curtis Good, not holding my breath re Debuchy.
  15. Is he coming to the UK by boat?
  16. Carroll knew he was going to be earning triple what he was on here before a fee was agreed with Liverpoool, so I'm sure it happens.
  17. I'm inclined to believe the Journal reports, they were pretty sure something was happening last week & have stuck to that tune. Perhaps been delayed for some reason but hopefully they're right this time & it will be sorted next week.
  18. Aye, I remember demba tweeting "Mr Sullivan must really miss me" & other such comments. Can't see him ever going back there.
  19. Interesting, could be for any number of reasons though.
