  1. I'm not saying he's the second coming. But if we're looking for outside players (and considering the lack of any outside play this season, we should be), he'd come on the cheap and has a lot of promise. Many footie journos over here have said he's the fastest U.S. player they've ever seen. Could definitely do worse for a development project. this lad was probably the fastest Irish lad I've ever seen. http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/42420000/jpg/_42420986_alanobrien203b.jpg However its not much good when he has the ability of a traffic cone. Yeah, except Gatt has the talent to go with it.

  3. How's that "being English" policy working out for us lately?
  4. No. Indeed, so overrated it hurts. And he isnt even that great in our shitty league. If we're looking for winger/striker types from Molde, I'd suggest taking a look at Josh Gatt. Learning the trade from one of the best (Ole Gunnar).

Let's pony up the cash and get "N-O" on the front of the shirts.
  7. I don't necessarily think our strikers should be dropping though. I'd much rather the run of play come to Ba and Cisse than having them drop into midfield. Ideally. But since the midfield isn't doing the heavy lifting, perhaps the strikers should be dropping more. Cabaye has certainly been playing much deeper this season, for whatever reason.
  8. I'm starting to lean this way myself. Let Cisse come off the bench until he starts hitting his stride. I'd like to see more of Ferguson on the left, and I think he and Santon can form a nice partnership on that side (or they'll just run into each other). Krul Anita Taylor Coloccini Santon Tiote Jonas Ben Arfa Cabaye Ferguson Ba
  9. That would seem to necessitate dropping HBA into a central role behind the strikers and letting him move into midfield to pick-up the ball. Ideally, I think, Cabaye handles that job and HBA floats all over the pitch.
  10. What's changed since last year though? Certainly not personnel. Cabaye's been dreadful thus far and Tiote's been battling niggling injuries. So is it just lack of match fitness? Just so sluggish this year. I guess that would have to explain it, as the only regulars who've looked consistently strong are HBA and Ba (maybe Santon and Saylor).
  11. Only his 2nd match of the season though. Gotta have faith in Colo over the long haul.
  12. This side is going to look so much better when Colo gets back. Poor Willo, the guy cannot for the life of him pass the ball. He's gotta hoof it down the field every single time. You can just tell he's got zero composure; every time he runs to cut off a pass, he darts over and blasts it out of bounds. Colo reigns-in that ball and turns it around back upfield. We're not having much luck with possession through the middle because we've got fuck-all from distribution out of the back the past 4 weeks.
  13. Tbh I'll probably watch Liverpool - Stoke, at least until our match starts.

  15. It's inevitable really. That's an interesting point you raise. I'll have to watch Sandro more closely under AVB's system. I certainly wasn't a fan of him under Redknapp.
  16. The press have got it in for him though, even more so since he replaced Redknapp. You're both spot on. I've always rated him and stuck my neck out and said that. Unreal how the press seem to have it in for him like, he's a class manager and I'd love it if he was our manager. I think this Spurs side is one of the best I've seen in recent years, especially on the attack. So many weapons. Getting Parker back will be a nice boost in defensive midfield too (I don't rate Sandro much).

Bradley still out injured for Roma. Will be a big boost in central midfield when he's back.

  20. Yeah, let Cisse get into match fitness through Europa and sub appearances. 4-5-1 with Ba alone up-top.
  21. Thank god I had Ba and Fletcher. Absolutely squat from Tevez, Hazard, Fellaini, Cole, Baines, and Koscielny. Here's to hoping ol' Kev Kev lights up QPR tomorrow.
  22. F this game. 3 goals for Everton, not a single assist or goal for either Baines or Fellaini. And the clean-sheet is gone, so no points there. Only good thing I did was keep Clyne on the bench. Who did I drop last week? Crouch.
