The only way is to challenge FMV especially at CAT. Such action was threatened at the PL meeting earlier this month and it will be interesting if such a challenge materialises.

It isn’t FFP per se that slows our progress, it’s now the much more onerous FMV rules that will strangle sponsorship. Get rid of FMV at least we can grow our revenue streams that will allow us to progress.

If those rules were challenged and removed it wouldn’t ruin football it would simply replace a Liverpool-Man U duopoly with a City-Newcastle duopoly, I’m ok with that.

The Arena site has been master planned, it could still be available however the club would need to make moves to approach the Council and buy the land. A Master Plan is not the final plan.
