  1. Thought I’d link this for anyone who hasn’t seen it. https://x.com/nickdemarco_/status/1735644167521341793?s=61&t=Yt8DTJJ-7Jh_ndgpdGSFKQ
  2. I think you’re right, I hope it’s us though, just for the fewm from the cartel clubs. Challenging FFP would be the nuclear option for City certainly.
  3. The only way to catch up quickly is by attempting to get rid of FFP by a legal challenge showing that it’s anti competitive, FMV would go the same way to. After the Court case against the FA &PL trying to cap agents fees, which the agents won, due to it being against Competition Law. Our favourite lawyer did publish a summary of that judgement and mentioned in the summary that FFP wasn’t about protecting less wealthier clubs but protected the cartel clubs position. Until FFP and FMV aren’t things it’ll take years to catch up.
  4. It’s Newcastle’s toilet, Sunderland is the arsehole of the UK.
  5. Quite a few also want the owner out…….managers you can sack owners are a different matter as we know to our cost.
  6. I doubt they’ll build a ‘flatpack’ stadium and what is history……it’s about the now and the future, memories are great but that’s all they are, memories.
  7. I saw that……why don’t the daft sods buy a pair of red gloves?
  8. Me to I was 18 at the time and fuck all since.
  9. I know it’s a contentious issue and people want to stay at SJP because of location and history, but let’s face it as far as history and memories go there aren’t many who go to matches now that were around the last time we won owt, 1969. Most of the time it’s been mid table mediocrity and relegation, spiced up a bit by the Keegan years. Given the difficulties of major redevelopment of SJP a new stadium on Castle Leazes would be my option.
  10. Hope Liverpool play like this on New Year’s Day!

  13. https://x.com/nickdemarco_/status/1735644167521341793?s=61&t=Yt8DTJJ-7Jh_ndgpdGSFKQ Worth a read especially in relation to FFP.
  14. Nick De Marco KC has tweeted about the Court rulings on an attempt to cap agents fees to which the Court found in the agents favour. I tweeted him and said FFP and FMV should go the same way as they are anti competitive practises and wouldn’t be allowed in any other business sector. He responded by liking the tweet, I’m probably reading to much into it or he agrees. https://x.com/floydianmag/status/1735378703415198158?s=61&t=Yt8DTJJ-7Jh_ndgpdGSFKQ
