  1. Hopefully we can knuckle down and put in another assured and dominating performance as this fixture last season, which was probably one of my favourite games of the season 3-0 but very, very easily could have been 4 or 5.
  2. Marveaux had a good solid hame. He tracked back AMD stuck hos foot in on numerous occasions to help break up anzhi attacks If a good, solid game is losing possession with every pass and run and doing little work defensively after the first 10 minutes then yes, he had a good solid game.
  3. I don't think it's bashing when you show concern to the lads poor defensive play, especially when you consider he is a defender. Call me old fashioned but i prefer my full back to be a good defender above all else, then you look for one who has good forward play too. These are my thoughts too, I love Santon hes becoming such a threat going forward and has bagged 3-4 assists this season, and in spells can be decent defensively aswell, but a lot of the time there are huge holes in his game defensively which I feel have cost us on many occasions.
  4. Anita offered absolutely nothing offensively or defensively whereas Cabaye in different stages of the game was getting stuck in and winning back possession while playing a few tidy balls forward that our attacking players failed to make much of. Marveaux offered nothing either apart from being decent defensively in the first 10 minutes.
  5. Everybody wanks over him all the time but I've seen little from him to suggest hes good enough to be playing for us. Offers about the same Obertan does but just slightly better on the ball with less pace.
  6. No idea how anyone can think Anita played better than Cabaye. Elliot 7 Simpson 7 Perch 9 Mbiwa 9 Haidara 8 Obertan 4 Sissoko 6 Cabaye 6 Anita 5 Marveaux 3 Ben Arfa 5
  7. Don't think he lost any duels at the back all night, his pace is going to be a real asset to us, not too worried about Colo's injury now, we're still fucked if Taylor gets injured like.
  8. I hate myself for thinking it but kind of hoping Santon picks up a little knock so we can see what this guy is like in the prem, looks literally miles ahead of Santon defensively and still looks like he can get forward, reckon he will be class with more games under his belt. Impressed hugely with him and Mbiwa.
  9. Not as good as we thought he was, simple as that, the sooner people stop making excuses and accept this, the better.
  10. I've noticed they never seem to speak much about their superior "class" anymore. That was the funniest one.
  11. Krul Debuchy Colo Taylor Santon Anita Cabaye Gutierrez Sissoko Gouffran Cisse With Ben Arfa to come on to get some game time before the end. I really, really hope if we're 1-0 up with about 30 mins left we take off all of our attacking players, bring on defensive ones and just invite pressure onto ourselves for the remainder of the game, its my favourite part of our games.
  12. Hannover 2-1 up on aggregate? Am I reading it right?
  13. But he didn't have a good game though. Barely touched the ball apart from that mazy run when he lost the ball.
  14. I must have missed his goals and assists then, oh....
  15. Good in what way? All I saw him do was run very quickly from the halfway line to the edge of the area, make the wrong decision and lose possession.
  16. Looked much better tonight than he has done for ages Idiotic tackle for first yellow and should have had a second yellow for the foul on their player in one of their counter attacks. Only wanted to pass the ball backwards and was easily drifted past by their players all night. The amount of time he spends on the ball before picking a pass is shocking aswell, would have been caught out countless times against prem opposition and has been this season. Getting a yellow card is not a sign of playing badly, and neither is keeping possession. Totally daft comments Not a sign of playing badly no but he should have had a second yellow in my eyes which is a sign of being a liability, cannot keep himself in check. The way he holds onto the ball slows our tempo right down and was part of the reason we got the ball forward quicker and better when he was substituted. Not to mention the fact that he invites unnecessary pressure on himself which usually causes him to lose the ball around the edge of our area.
  17. His foot is over onto the dark patch of grass whilst the defender isn't quite touching it, which would mean he is indeed offside if the grass is level.
  18. I really don't. I'd hold my hands up if someone sat me down and showed me Tiote's passing and Perch's passing side by side, but I notice Tiote losing the ball a lot more than Perch, especially in circumstances where it's needless. I don't by any means think that Perch is the answer and he's a limited player, but he plays within his means and knows his limits. Tiote plays like he can play balls through the organs of the opposition and it's f***ing mindless. Perch isn't exactly intelligent, but Tiote is f***ing stupid. Would agree 100% with this post.
  19. It seems like I've spent half of my life waiting for this young buck to return from injury, worth it though.

  21. They would look a damn sight better if ANY of our players ran to the near post instead of all crowding the centre of the box.
  22. Tiote on the other hand looks worse as each game passes. Liability springs to mind.
