Not the outcome I hoped for but hope he can turn this around and prove me wrong, sadly I fear more of the same next season.
-
What doesn't help is that our midfield 3 as talented as they all can be on their day are often wasteful with the ball, we know of Joelintons lack of technical ability, Tonali for all his positive traits isnt a great passer of the ball and even Bruno can be wasteful, I know it's not just about the midfield 3 we are poor in possession as a team but that's the biggest concern for me.

Joint second, who'd have bloody thought that, I was shocked when I saw it.
-
I'm sure I saw a stat somewhere saying we were one of the highest scorers in the league from set pieces this season. Apologies if I totally imagined this out of thin air, it has been known. Edit: joint second for most set piece goals in the league this season, seems the set piece coach has quietly made a profound difference to us.

Tall and fast, ability is just an afterthought. Luckily it worked today. -

Thank fuck for that! Didn't think the performance was particularly much better than usual but we got the luck back a bit today. We're safe! Everyone on here knows my stance on Howe but on a human level I'm glad he's took some of the pressure off himself for a while. Can't be easy. -
He plays like Gordon used to play when he could be arsed but with more end product. Pocket 80 mil for Gordon get this guy for 25. Sorted, nothing could possibly go wrong.
-
I honestly think for what we are allegedly going to get for him 15-20 million I'd rather he just stayed and got back to his best, the signing was a panic buy at a panic price but that's gone now and the price tag isn't his fault. Get him involved for the last few games and hopefully with the summer to properly prepare he will be useful for us, I would still hope we would target another striker though.
-
For the record I'm firmly in the Howe has taken us as far as he can camp but I would still love nothing more than him to succeed if he does get the chance to stay on in the summer, it's about the good of the football club at the end of the day.
-
What's worrying is in his interviews he sounds as baffled by our dropped points and collapses as he did 3-4 months ago. I get the distinct impression he's at a loss and is hoping for things to just click and get better, and this is why we've been waiting almost all season.

His minutes per goal isn't as bad as you would think, he suffered that horrific injury, and hasn't been trusted to lead the line after a few under par performances on the back of that injury, much like Woltemade I would say he hasnt been managed very well.
-
Looked Ok before the howler because he was barely troubled. He's finished.
-
Watching it again a few times it's not quite the gilt edged chance I thought it was but I still think he should have done better. That's exactly what I mean, it was refreshing for a short while to have someone with proper strikers movement up front, he was a poacher at Brentford and scored a lot of goals, that hasn't just disappeared overnight, he hasn't played consistently for ages, give him a chance with Woltemade behind him and I think the goals would come.
-
His miss was inexcusable but I thought we looked more functional up top with him as a focal point, with Woltemade behind him. I may be dead wrong, just my opinion, and it doesn't mean he's suddenly a good signing or anything.
-
He's absolutely, positively, fucking horrific, would give him away for free just to ensure we never have to watch him play football for us ever again.
-
Spared some blushes today by a very nervous and under par Arsenal, if they had turned it up even slightly we'd have been blown away. Looked better once Murphy went off and Woltemade and Wissa were on, the latter two seemed to link up well, something I would have hoped our "elite" manager would have tried earlier in the season. The game management of the identical corners is bad enough. Opinion remains the same, sack him.
-
If we're hoping for stuff I hope we sign a number 1 and number 2
-
Has he actually had a stroke or something?
-
Burn is so so high up the pitch, just a shame we don't have a more technical left sided wingback.
-
Massively over rated.
-
I do agree it's unlikely, but teams do pull off some mad shit at this point in the season.
-
Wonder if they'll adjust the 2030 plan if we go down
-
I mean if that's not Eddie Howe F.C I don't know what is.
-
Probably still have silly Billys defending Howe aswell
