Also I can say it now as I didn't want to tempt fate before but I really felt we would win it this time, it just felt different. I was a wreck before the Man Utd final, this time I felt a little relaxed. Everyone and everyone expected Liverpool to win it with ease and football just isn't like that, if it was that easy we would all be millionaires from betting on it. With hindsight now obviously but you could just see everything falling into place, the defeat for them against PSG, the calmness around our squad and the lack of media hysteria compare to last time, the fact we played them a few weeks before and you just knew Eddie had a few tricks up his sleeve to confuse them. It was perfect, what a performance. I also had a dream Willock scored the winner so just had to put a small bet on him scoring when he came on.

Why is VAR not used in grounds where the technology is set up?! Who cares if other teams can't use it, it's to make the game fair as much as possible isn't it? Remember when we were down 0-2 to Brentford and he changed to a 4-2-3-1 for that second half and we turned it around quite convincingly. We've hardly ever seen that system again have we? Thought that might be his reliable plan B but it doesn't seem like it. We went 4-4-2 against West Ham in the end so maybe he doesn't like it anymore. I do think teams are finding it easy to nullify us though. We set out the same every week and don't really give the opposition manager problems formation wise. Just mark Gordon,Isak and Bruno out of the game/ give them no space and / or sit deep,compact and force us out wide and we are heavily limited in what we can do. We can smash teams that come at us leaving space in the middle and allowing us to get in behind. That happened a lot during our Champions League qualifying season, but hardly anyone allows that now and I think the results reflect that.

Getting a bit dodgy now. We've spent a shit load of money, have some class players and we're not looking like we're going anywhere. Getting results like the west ham on Monday and forest at home nearly a year ago is unacceptable.

Tbf when Tonali played we were wide open in midfield. Longstaff came in and we started getting results so I can see why he left Tonali out. Needs to find a solution with Bruno,Tonali and Joelinton though as that has the potential to be a very strong midfield with loads of creativity. Just need to find that balance. Shocking performance though, we looked so untrained. Simple passes and decisions just miles off.
