  1. Ant and Dec retweeting today's LK article, seems they've suddenly become more vocal about the situation. Another tactic from Ashley and his legals?
  2. I am still struggling with the concept of them establishing the standing to bring the claim - to demonstrate that the claimant here has suffered a loss (in proper terms) from the anti competition actions of the Premier League. The process is also nowhere near as simple as it is made out in that article. A loss is very broad though, surely the fact that the new buyers publicly announced they would strengthen the team, facilities and surrounding area means the the club and city are losing out.
  3. Again nailed on by Mimms when he said Ashley's lawyers/legal team were looking at exploiting a different route.
  4. Correct me But the fact you feel the Saudis have to compromise and the PL need bigger balls to tell the big 6 what to do is exactly why Ashley and fan groups threatening legal action will be huge. The PL rejected our takeover in ways that wasn't legal. That definitely matters. Correct me if I'm wrong but from everything I've read the PL never rejected the takeover never mind it being illegal, they asked for additional information about the make up of the proposed directors of the potential purchasers buying the club which the Saudi's apparently declined to do. That's what the PL said. However our club said it was rejected and that all relevant documents was given to the PL when asked. Hence why Ashley has hired lawyers. Honestly I think if it genuinely couldn't be passed due to the Saudis then Ashley wouldn't bother. Also if the lawyers looked at it and realised the PL made a fair decision then they would say sorry Mike you're wasting your time with this one. They see something and I truly think that it's that the PL have not done things by the book.

  6. Someone might have pointed this out before but Money Mike Ashley follows only one on twitter; a PR agency called KBA (Keith Bishop Association). Under their clients they list both Newcastle United and Sports Direct: https://www.kbapr.com/clients/ In fact, a lot of the brands listed are owned by Mike Ashely (Frasers Group). How I wish I was this far behind. Imagine what he is going to be like when he finally gets to 2020... Going to see Leicester win the Prem first
  7. Customers are able to engage in legal action if it affects their costs or the quality of the product. this is why it is fan led. I think it can be forced through faster this way. Wonder if its something to do with the statement last night about the PL charging fans 14.95 and Ashley not agreeing with it. No idea how you can relate the two regarding our takeover but it's just so random for Ashley to say that and today we get this.
  8. Could be that the legal team know just how powerful twitter can be. They want somewhere that puts pressure on the PL without doing it on their own twitter accounts, it would look quite unprofessional for De Marco to suddenly start tweeting publicly about how bad the PL are ?‍♂️
  9. That letter demands a response by the PL by 4pm on November the 3rd. It also requests all documents from the PL, emails texts and even what's apps Imagine the corruption in those.
  10. Hats off to Mimms like. End of last week he said stuff was going to be released/made public within days and he's nailed it. This after weeks/months of not hearing anything (last thing was Ashley hiring the lawyers iirc?)
  11. Ties in perfectly with what Mimms said. Either they are they same person or Liam Kennedy has a reliable inside source.
  12. So the PL still not wanting to play ball? Why issue thst letter if things are close to being sorted?
  13. Could just as well be Ashley knows the PL can't get out of the takeover now, the lawyers have made it clear that they have to accept it one way or another and Mike just wants to get as many fuck you's into them before he does leave. Edwards knows nothing and is just speculating.
  14. Mike Ashley NEVER releases a statement. Mimms comes along and says a statement is coming and Ashley releases a statement within days No idea if there are more to come but you can't fault the inside info.
  15. Agree. Even if a statement doesn't come this week just let things play out. Ashley or the buyers can change things at the last second, that doesn't mean his info is fake. All will come clearer with time. I enjoy seeing what his posts have to say, much better than thinking or discussing Bruce and our rancid football at the minute.
  16. Wonder if any journo breaks some news before the statement. If so it'll be interesting to see who it is as they'll clearly have a reliable source.
  17. Shocking today tbh. Doesn't bother me a bit because we all know how deadly he can be on his day. Some of his first touches today were very "un-maximin like" He kept trying to take people on though even though wolves quickly crowded him out. Just hope we get to see him play under a proper attacking organized manager before he leaves the club ?
  18. I mean you have to credit Steve Bruce for that var decision against spurs that got us a point, leading us to currently being level on points with them. Top stuff there Robbie, really fantastic lad.
  19. Stuck a tenner on a man city win and Aguero 2+ shots on target at betfair for their bet 10 get 10 offer. Put it on at HT and see Aguero was subbed and didn't even come out
  20. Yes because playing a CM on the wing really helps with that balance Steve. Top work gaffer.
