I am still struggling with the concept of them establishing the standing to bring the claim - to demonstrate that the claimant here has suffered a loss (in proper terms) from the anti competition actions of the Premier League. The process is also nowhere near as simple as it is made out in that article. A loss is very broad though, surely the fact that the new buyers publicly announced they would strengthen the team, facilities and surrounding area means the the club and city are losing out.

Correct me But the fact you feel the Saudis have to compromise and the PL need bigger balls to tell the big 6 what to do is exactly why Ashley and fan groups threatening legal action will be huge. The PL rejected our takeover in ways that wasn't legal. That definitely matters. Correct me if I'm wrong but from everything I've read the PL never rejected the takeover never mind it being illegal, they asked for additional information about the make up of the proposed directors of the potential purchasers buying the club which the Saudi's apparently declined to do. That's what the PL said. However our club said it was rejected and that all relevant documents was given to the PL when asked. Hence why Ashley has hired lawyers. Honestly I think if it genuinely couldn't be passed due to the Saudis then Ashley wouldn't bother. Also if the lawyers looked at it and realised the PL made a fair decision then they would say sorry Mike you're wasting your time with this one. They see something and I truly think that it's that the PL have not done things by the book.

Someone might have pointed this out before but Money Mike Ashley follows only one on twitter; a PR agency called KBA (Keith Bishop Association). Under their clients they list both Newcastle United and Sports Direct: https://www.kbapr.com/clients/ In fact, a lot of the brands listed are owned by Mike Ashely (Frasers Group). How I wish I was this far behind. Imagine what he is going to be like when he finally gets to 2020... Going to see Leicester win the Prem first

Customers are able to engage in legal action if it affects their costs or the quality of the product. this is why it is fan led. I think it can be forced through faster this way. Wonder if its something to do with the statement last night about the PL charging fans 14.95 and Ashley not agreeing with it. No idea how you can relate the two regarding our takeover but it's just so random for Ashley to say that and today we get this.

Agree. Even if a statement doesn't come this week just let things play out. Ashley or the buyers can change things at the last second, that doesn't mean his info is fake. All will come clearer with time. I enjoy seeing what his posts have to say, much better than thinking or discussing Bruce and our rancid football at the minute.

Shocking today tbh. Doesn't bother me a bit because we all know how deadly he can be on his day. Some of his first touches today were very "un-maximin like" He kept trying to take people on though even though wolves quickly crowded him out. Just hope we get to see him play under a proper attacking organized manager before he leaves the club ?

I mean you have to credit Steve Bruce for that var decision against spurs that got us a point, leading us to currently being level on points with them. Top stuff there Robbie, really fantastic lad.

Stuck a tenner on a man city win and Aguero 2+ shots on target at betfair for their bet 10 get 10 offer. Put it on at HT and see Aguero was subbed and didn't even come out

Yes because playing a CM on the wing really helps with that balance Steve. Top work gaffer.
