  1. 2 wins for Sunderland from the 4 games and that's them safe considering the goal difference. To match that we would need 2 wins and a draw.
  2. There's bound to be at least one shock result in the games between us v Palace and villa, Sunderland v arsenal and Chelsea and Norwich v man utd and arsenal. Unfortunately it won't work in our favour so we just need to hope that the results on paper hold up.
  3. This is what I have after the following - Newcastle - v C Palace (H) WIN. v Villa (A) WIN. v Spurs (H) DRAW. Sunderland - v Arsenal (H) LOSS. v Stoke (A) DRAW. v Chelsea (H) LOSS. v Everton (H) DRAW. v Watford (A) WIN. Norwich - v Arsenal (A) LOSS. v Man Utd (H) LOSS. v Watford (H) WIN. v Everton (A) LOSS. http://s20.postimg.org/gk8c54w0d/image.png Not unrealistic imo. Anything less than wins against Palace or Villa though and we are down.
  4. Hope the Rafa song is sung for the whole 90 mins (except the 17th probably) Partly to show how much the man is loved and also as a huge fuck you to Pardew showing him what he could have won if he had even the smallest bit of tactical know how, and a sprinkle of the likeability factor. Anyway,we need to smash them and get that GD back in order.
  5. Doesn't give them a need to rest any of the main starting 11 so hopefully he will put strong teams out against Sunderland and Norwich
  6. What players names are in that Benitez song? I can only make out Wijnaldum and Perez
  7. If we do get a win it's nailed on Sunderland will follow by beating Arsenal
  8. Walked past the radio at work today just as Rafa's interview from last night started. I froze like a mad man all lop sided so I could get clear air between the speaker and my ear Under Pardew or Carver the radio would have been going out the window.
  9. He's really making his impact now. The team is so compact and organized in defence we're actually difficult to break down at times. So strange saying that I just can't see him walking away from it all. The fact that he appointed himself as manager for his son's team and went to see Milan train on his honeymoon clearly indicates a man totally in love with football. The only obstacles are Spain job(major worry for me),Valencia Job(current man seems to be doing well so might get it full time) and Ashley not willing to pay him a half decent wage.(highly likely)
  10. So in 08/09 after 33 games we were in 19th, 3 points away from 17th. We went on to have a record of the following in the next 5 games- W1 D1 L3 and we still had a chance of survival on the last day of that season. Admittedly there were a lot more teams still involved with a relegation battle at this point in that season, but quite amazed after that kind of form it went to the last day. Every season since then, the teams surviving in 17th had the following points after 38 games. Hull 35 West Ham 35 Wolves 40 QPR 37 Sunderland 39 West Brom 36 Villa 38 We absolutely need 3 wins imo to have a realistic chance.
  11. Going to the Bernabeu when Madrid play Valencia. Would be epic if it's when they win the title.
  12. Them Fucking beards man. Do they not know that it's not cool or 'hip' any more.
  13. Everton and Europe games are huge for them. And with us sandwiched in between I'd be amazed if we faced a full strength Liverpool team.
  14. Was concerned at first on how we stand off the opposition and don't close them down, however it's a superb tactic as we keep our shape and don't leave any free space for them to run into. We looked so compact today and made it very difficult for them to get through. Players certainly look like they are starting to fully understand their position when we don't have the ball.
  15. Just done the prediction thing and have us as winning the league
  16. Klose out for the season for Norwich. Huge blow to them.
  17. At least Rafa is trying something different with the midfield as it has been shocking with Shelvey. Hopefully we will be able to be more solid with 2 defensive midfielders,no point going gung-ho from the start.
  18. Think it will be a draw tomorrow between Norwich and Sunderland. Sunderland will take the lead and then sit back and invite pressure and Norwich will equalise late on.
  19. Me neither, but I don't think it's entirely out of the question. Ashley knows relegation would bring a huge shit storm his way. His only trump card to keep the fans happy is Rafa.
  20. Do you think Ashley would go all out to keep Rafa here in order to try and keep some peace with the fans after the pain of relegation?
  21. Sure I read somewhere that we have never beaten Swansea at home in the Premier League.
  22. Sounds weird but would rather he did that if when we go down. Allows a full season for him to rebuild while still remaining competitive. Doing in the Premier League could backfire considering how bad every single thing at the club is.
