  1. Hard to argue with such pearls of wisdom as this: "A more daring choice from the Russian Premier League would be wonderkid Denis Davydov, a 19-year-old striker from Spartak Moscow, who develops into a skilful poacher with great finishing and anticipation."
  2. Sorry to read that mate. Football should be a source of escapism.
  3. It's not even like you're in touching distance of the others at the bottom (goals scored). Really is dire.
  4. Madness to think that we have had players on Loan at Roma and Inter, as though we are that strong.
  5. From the BBC's sportsday live feed. 'Today Fifa Interactive World Cup 2014 Grand Final competitor David Bytheway and Football Manager expert Alex Stewart will be providing insight and analysis of players involved in deals from a gamer's perspective.'
  6. We do we get rid of the talent, not the deadwood? Infuriating, dishonest club.
  7. Yeah not too bothered about the rules, just generally as a principle, can't really get a clearer example of cheating.
  8. How desperate can you get? Ashley should get him to wash the kits on a Sunday as well, I'm sure he'd gladly do it. AND YOU WERE f***ing s*** AT IT Couldn't even get the Country right.
  9. I have and do. And he's definitely not on another planet. He's more of a goal threat but he'll offer exactly what Willian does, balance on that right side with little freedom to attack like a winger should when Mourinho has turned him around just like he did with Willian. If anything Willians performances at Shakthar were more impressive when they played in the CL than Cuadrados has ever been for Fiorentina. I agree with Mole though, he's not a good defender at all, but his speed and stamina has made his coach in Colombia play him further back than he really should. Guy can't tackle and has a bad positional sense. Still will be very surprised if Cuadrado isn't used the same way Willian is used. I can't vouch for the Fiorentina stuff but Willian was electric for Shakhtar
  10. Pardew wasn't backed by the board this year because of that fifth placed finish. No, but he was backed by some moron fans who refused to turn against him because he finished 5th once. well that's true. We never really saw how the board responded to concerted fan pressure within the ground. I hope you're right that at least part of the reason for fan quiet was that fifth finish. Because otherwise we just have an apathetic fan base happy to survive in the league.

  12. We are used to being bad. All the money was there to appoint a manager now, all the candidates are there to sign a pre-contract yet nothing.
  13. I loved you in Sex and the City.
  14. If they do make a permanent appointment in the summer it's difficult to imagine how Carver can go back to a coaching role.
  15. might as well keep going with it. "If he gets close to getting close to getting top 10, I think they'll keep him." All just a whole lot of speculation built on more speculation that only serves to get people worked up. Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Admittedly I think it's quite easy to forecast what's going to happen but I'm no less doomed.
  16. Derby do look good to be fair on the rare occasions I have seen them, but then I think the championship lends itself to a more expansive open type of football.
  17. Fucks sake. There was such a weird atmosphere that game too.
  18. They were a goal away from staying in the league last time when things really were s*** & desperate. Damien fucking Duff.
