Grab Johnny Decker off the streets, offer him 2 tabs a day for a year and you've replaced Shola. Don't need the mastermind that is Joe Kinnear to do that.
Absolutely frustrating, other teams have improved leaving us even further behind than we were, with a manager most don't rate and a DoF that nobody rates.
Rooney won't accept playing second fiddle and he won't accept being shoehorned into another position so he'll be on his way. Cracking player but RVP is untouchable and rightly so.
Joe Kinnear's appointment as Director of Football shows the level of football knowledge those who make the big calls have. I believe it could get a whole lot worse than Pardew, so I hope to God he pulls his socks up and suddenly becomes a fantastic manager overnight.
Baffling from Pardew. I'd rather he had a brilliant season last year and just run the risk of clubs being interested in signing him. If more players had had a good year, maybe we'd be in a better position to keep them even if others wanted them.
I'm not overly concerned about them right now. I still believe Di Canio is a flash in the pan and whole sale changes to the squad like they're attempting take a lot of time and effort to get right. Barely heard of half of their signings.
Suggests to me that he's happy with 2 in the middle, either a 4-4-2 or a 4-2-3-1 so Sissoko can play behind the striker in number 10 role.
Sissoko showed more than Tiote last season so really it should be a case of Tiote being more expendable.
Was such a daft move for Sinclair to go to City. After he struggled to break into Chelsea's side, to reviving his career at Swansea to leave that for City and have things stall again...
Would add a lot to our team but I'm not getting excited about any potential signings until I see them holding/wearing the shirt.
Shame how it turned out for him here, I thought we'd snagged ourself a real bargain at the time. He hasn't looked convincing at all. Best of luck to him. One of those occasions where signing the replacement won't be difficult at all.
If we could afford to, a replacement for Cisse rather than competition would be preferable. I wouldn't want to see Ba and Cisse in the same team, which would probably happen. Not that we will be back in for Ba.
Panic buys are by definition over priced and ill researched. We didn't make a single signing that wasn't great value or well planned. We just moved forward our plans.
