Although we would have been weakened back then. Fuck this, me and Sissoko are going back to the day you were born and drowning you in a bucket.

I'd take Danny Simpson (technically still our player) and trade him for Woodgate in 2003.

It's one thing defenders finding an attacker out, it's another actually stopping them. Give Cisse service and he will score, he's shown that.
-
He keeps giving the press things to write about, the berk.

Signed a one year extension with Chelsea the day after the Europa League final.

It's a smart kit, it just doesn't seem right for England though.

Po-tay-toes. Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew.

I can't say that when someone mentions Shay Given now that I am particularly bothered by him. It's more of a "oh yeah, he used to play for us, didn't he?" He moved on, so did we. Pat on the back for all the great games he had for us.

Arshavin just doesn't seem arsed anymore. A few years ago I would have loved him here. Definitely think there are better options out there than a 31 year old on a major decline.
-
Such a boring, predictable link.
-
I think he'll have another year here. Hopefully he won't feature as much for us as he has this year. Coming off the bench, I think he'll still be a useful part of the squad.

Bayern, Watford and Celtic all to win in 90 mins. Muller to score in 90.

The clued up coaches will tell you, timing and anticipation are far more important in an aerial battle. As was pointed out on a previous page, how many times did Owen score with his head? He had the knack of getting the timing right on his jump to beat men far taller than him. Height is one thing, but I hope whichever potential signing knows how to actually use it to good effect.

Gutted I'm working late for this one. A few quid on Dortmund is tempting but think Bayern will take it.
-
Fair enough if he was winding down his career, but this is still a player more than capable of performing well at the top level. It's an insult that they think they can get him for free, then freely tell media outlets their plans.
-
Disappointing news but I think deep down we all knew he'd be given another shot next season. Not much to do but hope that he learns from his mistakes and improves. Get a few new faces on the coaching staff and listen to their opinions and ideas. Sincerely hope next season isn't another write off.
-
I do believe he likes it here, he is just like us in that he wants this football club to be a force, and not the joke it was last season. Same with Cabaye. Genuinely think both players like playing and living here.
-
He's a top Premiership defender with a lengthy contract. We're mugs if we let him go on the cheap.

You're looking at the best part of 40m there. Never going to happen. In fact, wouldn't surprise me to see us not get in a new striker again if we don't believe we're getting value for money. Lescott is apparently available for less than 5m, Remy has a 8m clause and Aubameyang is supposedly available for 10m. That is 23m max, although i don't believe we need Remy and Aubameyang. If we were to buy two strikers it should be a target man and Remy/Aubameyang as they are quite similar except Aubameyang is more skillful and a better passer. If Ashley and co still look at deals including wages, then it'll probably push the £40m mark, factoring in contracts as well as transfer fee.

The right signings in the summer and I think many will grant him more time. Another summer like the last and God help him. Coupled with the potential for a few first team players to leave.

I thought the supposed clause only came into effect if they sold him for £35m+? I don't think there'll be a sell-on clause in a deal worth that much tbh.

Holding the baby to his left, a clear sign that he prefers playing left back than right.
