Obviously black would be impossible on any newcastle kit, red would probably look ridiculous too We used to have red numbers before the PL, it was fine. Love how the club try and build up anticipation and drama with the little reveal, then WOOOSH, JD Sports reveals the thing on their website. As for the shirt... front looks ok apart from the unnecessary blue slashes, but the back is just horrible. Not even any arse stripes anymore. Heard Charver on the radio yesterday (probably from his PC on Thursday) saying he 'just wants a result, the performance isn't important'. Just heard that on Totalsport on way home. When an open letter from the club captain begins with... "I don't usually speak publicly too often" then is there any point reading/listening on? Then the squad apologising for "the moment we are going through".... a moment that's now 8 matches long and counting. And ending by drilling home that support is needed, despite the fact support has always been there, and results have still nose-dived. Just a complete joke, and a very obvious PR exercise. However, I'm sure some sheep will be taken in by it.

So, the Chronic's resident window licker is now proclaiming that Carver did not offer to quit yesterday, despite the National Press claiming so. Shame, I was beginning to think that maybe Carver had a shred of dignity and/or self respect left.

Even if we lose the next 3, and stay up due to teams below us failing to overhaul us, you just know they'll claim it as success. Saturdays match and atmosphere will be interesting. Will the sheep turn against, or get behind the team?
