They should have used that style collar on the home shirt, then it would almost be an 88-90 umbro replica (the first home shirt I bought).
-
Is that not why though? These days, loads of players give the shirts away at the end of a game (swapped with opponents or to fans in the crowd). I doubt there many shirts get laundered and reworn like the 'old days'. Therefore the players shirts (as daft as it seems) probably need to e cheaper and more disposable than the retail ones. I'll also be surprised if the general retail version of the home shirt has a proper embroidered badge though (as that first leak suggests). Suspect it'll be the cloth patch like most of recent years.

9th confirmed with Leicester 0-0 at FT

BRUNO!!!

Watched the first part when it was on TV, and watched the second part on the iplayer last night. Second part was a tough watch at times, the way the press were with him. So sad the way he turned out, and the way people treated him. Yes he was stupid, and his own worst enemy, but he was manipulated by so many people, and the press literally made his life hell. Piers Morgan denying that the press like to build people up so they can knock them down, is exactly what they did to Gascoigne. Also, Paul Ince saying he told Gazza that if he hadn't had that extra pint or extra kebab before Euro 96, then he might have reached that late cross. Tosser!.

Leazes Terrace gets all the headlines, but surely if we want to sufficiently expand the East Stand and the corner, its gonna need the buildings on the west side of St James' Street and the return block on Terrace place to be flattened too?

Good result, would have taken a point beforehand so happy with that. Just hope results around us are favourable too.

Page 478 is where it is confirmed.

That thread is hilarious... just through first few pages, and its all exciting and optimistic, talk of 'mags will be going into meltdown' and even mention of Mbappe. To then realise where they are, 3 years on, still with The Don and Charlie Meth-head behind the scenes. And who finally got the big money takeover?? EDIT: Even funnier if you skip to the end of the thread, almost 1500 pages later. The last page is dated 17 September 2019, and they are all w*nking and celebrating about their impending takeover, and how they were going to phone Total Sport and pretend to gutted Mags. The takeover collapsed on 8th October 2019.

Pretty sure that started (whether officially or not) under Adidas. Definitely remember the club shop at the ground selling loads of non-NUFC adidas gear and a large range of trainers, as I bought pairs of trainers there when on offer. I dont think it matters who the shop 'belongs' to as long as the club is getting its proper cut from NUFC branded merchandise and kits, etc, which we can be sure they weren't when it was owned/run by SD.

Get In!!! Didn't see the match, saw that they had a goal chalked off... VAR evening itself up for us now?? Another win, and great that we managed to hold onto a 1-0 lead. Can't wait to see Trips' goal... hope he isn;t too badly inuured though.

Is that right, Neil is only getting an initial contract till the end of the season?? Guess the owners now realsie how fickle the fans are and wont tie any manager down longterm anymore!
-
Thats it, basically. Their managers tend to get an average of 13months in the job before they are hounded out becasue they aren't top of and walking the leygue. Classic boom and bust with the fans, every time. 11 'permanent' managers in the 11 years since Bruce was peddled is unreal!
-
This is the Castore one (from NUFC Store)... I think these kind of iron on badges are pretty much the standard now, aren't they? Apart from limited edition shirts and such like?
-
Well of course. The narrative up here was that he was hamstrung with a squad of players that had negative defensive football drilled into them by the previous manager, and he struggled (for 2.5 years) to get them to play on the 'front foot'. He's probably glad he was overlooked for the Everton job for the same reason.

So our shares are selling for £40m each? Nice!
-
Assuming there was any legs in a deal for Zapata, would it just be a case of rushing through paperwork tonight, and loan deal is agreed subject to medical which would follow in coming days?
-
I guess a transfer request by him at this stage wouldn't make any difference either? Man Utd would just reject it?
-
Chelsea in late for Dembele?

On SSN yellow ticker now

Merson is so anti-NUFC its unreal. Struggling to compliment our january business, and it'll only be "WOW" if we sign Lingard. "They've had a go, thats all I can say" when asked about our business, despite spending roughly £100m and close to signing 5 players (so far). Also said earlier he worried about foreign players coming into a relegation battle with us, as they wont know the league. Then followed it up praising Burnley for their signing of Wout Weghorst, saying he thinks he'll do well.

I'm WFH today, but have SSN on with the volume turned right up in the other bedroom whilst I 'work' in the spare room/office. Still not doing any 'work' though... too busy on here and refreshing twitter!

SSN just said this deal might include an option to buy, not just a straight 6mnth loan.

They might try and poach 'Sewpa Kev' from South Shields. Not sure he'll fancy the step-down in level though! ??
