I can't believe someone has a sink at the end of their bath!
  2. Nah, Johnny Woodgate
  3. Or, someone has given Sky the heads up that Eddie's leaving, so it's his final home game for a big send off.

    Yoane Wissa

At his age, in what world are we selling him for more than £55m?? To put a clause in based on a percentage of profit would be pointless to them.

Thing is, very late in the window, we pivotted to Strand-Larssen. What would have happened had Wolves caved in? I reckon we would have signed him and then still went for Wissa too, but Woltemade would never have come into the equation, with JSL becoming the 'Isak replacement'.

Yeah, the age of the player has to come into question with what the sell-on percentage is based on. As said earlier, Gordon's sell on is apparently 15% of the profit we make, but he's younger had more room to improve, etc. Wissa, 28/29, £55m... nah, we we're never going to make a profit selling him on, regardless of how good this first season could have gone. So it has to be on any future fee we get. Just, nuts really.
  7. West Ham match moved for TV, same day but 5.30 k.o. EDIT: Just seen this was posted yesterday, sorry if

I don't think theres a single way, it will depend on the individual deal agreed. Some are based purely on any future fee, and some based on Profit. Sell-on Clause Explained: What It Means in Football Transfers Seems to be being reported Everton are due a percentage of the 'profit' we make on Gordon, but the Wissa reports aren't clear (yet) on the terms of his clause.

When I saw this post last night, I thought it was us who were looking to put the 25% sell-on into any 'big loss' sale. Waugh did mention this when Wissa signed in September, but obviously it was missed in the excitement at the time. https://archive.ph/ndfQl
  10. Probably get himsell wound up off Van Hecke, sent off again, sit out the last 3 games. Rested up for the WC.
  11. Bournemouth was on Penalties (after another 'uncharacteristic' late goal for them made it 3-3), and Villa were arguably on top till their keeper had a brainfart.

    Nick Woltemade

Seems he may not have had #NUFC in his bio anyway. Still got photos on from yesterdays match, along with tons of others. He hasn't gone full Wissa and removed all traces of his time here (as Wissa did with Brentford, when wanting out).
  13. If there is a decision to part ways, either mutual or by Eddie's own decision, and its taken before the season ends, I believe he'll want it kept quiet (as much as thats possible) until the season finishes. I don't think he'd want a big display of affection in the final home game, as its not really who he is. Remember him being very humbled by the flag on the side of the Sandman. I guess a lot will depend on the next 4 games. If we don't pick up another point (very feasible), then I think he may decide he's taken it as far as he can, if he hasn't already done that privately. But the board summit this week could be massive - they may yet back him fully and reinvigorate him for the summer and next season, or it could be decided its time for a fresh start for both parties.
  14. Trying different things... different tactics, formations, proactive substitutions, pick play players based on form/merit, not just because they are 'trusted'. But he's already said he doesn't want to go to far away from the high intensity, athelticism in future, so I guess if he stays into next season, its potentially going to be more of this season, and hope the players he still has/are brought in can fit into his strategy, instead of adjusting and playing to the players strengths he has available.
  15. Yep, thats where I am at too.
  16. The £100m or so he got to spend in that January window went a long way to helping that too, though.
  17. Amorim was pretty much ridiculed by the footy media and then peddled for as much, along with results.
