  1. Well if Bruce really did suggest and approve Jones' appointment, he's made himself look like an utter mug....even moreso than normal
  2. The Club and Bruce are getting the exact respect they deserve
  3. All 3 I agree were bad although Daglish had some excuse in the fact he lost over 50 goals in 24 hours due to reasons out of his control. I would still put Bruce well ahead mind, for bringing the worst football I have ever seen played by a Newcastle team and the fact he is just a useless false cunt to boot. Dalglish did a lot of short term damage using 'old guard' players (Rush, Barnes, Pearce) to try and patch up the loss of two of the best strikers in the league. Did a lot of good restoring the reserve team and brought in some good players at the same time (Solano, Hamann). Really wanted rid of him at the time for dismantling a title challenging team but in retrospect, I think history judged him a little harshly. Shearer doesn't take that tumble in pre-season, Ferdinand not sold, and think we could still have challenged pretty well. Souness is where it really went tits up. At the time we were pretty much equal to Liverpool...they get Benitez when the season ends, and we hang around till a few games into next season and go for Souness :-(
  4. Again...what exactly in Jones record makes anyone think he's going to improve us? Unless I've missed something I don't see much past a few years of mediocrity at low level. Fair enough if he was 20, but this guy is 50 and isn't exactly a newby to coaching
  5. Looks like the number 2 in any ITV detective series Still don't get how this is going to help...this guy hasn't pulled up any trees anywhere he's been, and isn't exactly a 'yoing' up and coming star since he's 50 already, with his last involvement being taking Bournemouth down. Maybe he's brought in to teach players what relegation looks like
  6. He already knows this, it's literally happened to him twice already. He just falsely believes that we'll somehow scrape 17th with a loan signing or two and that what we've seen so far is just bad luck rather than a result of rancid team management. The thick fuck genuinely believes our seasons has been derailed because some players got covid No. I genuinely can't believe anyone is that stupid. It's a convenient excuse is all. He's not going to sit in an interview and just admit he's not up to the job is he/
  7. He shouldn't have got the job in the first place, but tbf it was a good chance for him as well, don't really think you can call it being hung out to dry. He could always have stayed at Derby. Well now it'll be time to see whether he really wants to be a manager or not...if his ego gets in the way and wants a Premier League job then he could be waiting a long time, unless West Ham revert to type. Possiby one of the South Coast teams if Uncle Harry sticks his face in
  8. Well we crossed the ball a bit on Saturday apparently. Walk before we can run, eh? Know your place
  9. Wouldn’t say safe as houses as we’ll keep on losing. Might be a change of tune when even the scum in charge of this ”club” realise that the threat of relegation is real. If they'd actually watched a single game this season at all they should be asking the questions...being battered once can be excused but being second best in every for more than a year game regardless of result should be raising eyebrows. When was the last time we actually controlled a game and looked deserving winners? Even when the result is good the other team is almost always better statswise
  10. A sad bit of trivia.... Through his playing career, Bruce has a better strike ratio (>1 in10) than all of our attacking players bar Wilson. He should be at least be able to explain to them how to head the ball at goal from a corner at least. S**t...got to have a corner first. Expecting too much again
  11. They obviously don't watch the games if they think the criticism is harsh. If anything it's been massively restrained. Lord help him if a crowd ever gets into the ground to watch....could see him curled in to a ball in a corner rocking back and forth saying over and over 'it's getting better', its getting better' Beyond feeble from the club
  12. PSG is such a tough place to manage - there are so many egos within the squad, and if you add Tuchel to that, it will always end in the the parting of ways - plus he had a pop at Leonardo, that was asking to be given your p45 Got to be one of the easiest places to manage in world football....an unlimited budget and no really serious competition. Would suggest only Rangers or Celtic are an easier job, and even there there's one team to beat... Spain...there's 2 main challengers, and possibly another 2 that can throw a spanner in the works Germany...Anything other than a routine Bayern year can bring a few other challengers Portugal...Benfica, Porto, or SP Lisbon. No other challengers Italy...Juventus pretty much the nailed on champions most years, but Inter, Milan are can always be threatening along with the annual surprise like Atalanta Belgium...who the hell knows. Club Brugges most years
  13. Yup and hope he buggers off. If I was doing shit at work and they sent a couple of people to "help" me I'd take it as a massive slap in the face. Most people in the real non-football would have justifiably been sacked months ago.. A quarter of the working year with nothing but failure would have 99% out the door
  14. He is overdue an enormous slice of luck He’s not though, he had more than his fair share of it last year. Luck runs out. What we’re seeing now is a core of Rafa’s squad who’ve had his good habits “coached” out of them and some additions who have had whatever good coaching from their previous clubs also coached out of them. It takes roughly a season and a bit for this to happen. This is the reason he’s rarely been at a club longer than 2 years. This is his getting found out phase. Getting found out? Crystal Palace, Huddersfield, Sunderland, Birmingham, Aston Villa, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Hull, already found him out.... Got to wonder if Charnley pays any attention to football news in any way shape or form
  15. Exclude luck and what on earth gives any indication that Leeds will not shove us over lube up and have a right good old time boosting their points and goal difference
  16. Till the end of time...and garbage is all that has survived
  17. Leeds will cut through us, like a hot knife through butter. Try a lightsabre...it's probably harder to not score than score against us at the minute.
  18. Fucking primary school team selection tactics. Hysterical! I suppose the thing about his comments is that he's not doing himself any favours Literally everything coming out of his mouth suggests he's given up and just waiting for his pay off. As crap as he is, he's been round long enough to know how the game works one way or another...sad thing is that he's totally underestimated the negligent attitude our MD and owner have when it comes to making pay-offs.
  19. Not sure on that...the viable candidate pool for these reprobates is even more terrifying than Bruce Pulis, Hughes, Ameobi, Harper, Sherwood, Curbishley, Dowie, Clark....hell it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to get Beardsley in before having to use any imagination and get someone with good ideas
  20. 2-0 Seven shots, one on target <40% possession Bruce 'happy with the fight and desire seen...signs of improvement. Obviously theres been some criticism from the fans, but i don't think it's justified. Just got to dust down, roll sleeves up and get ready for next match. Im doing this my way and things are getting better. Knew this would be a tough game but never walked away from a challenge'
  21. He'd be bored in 3 months with only 4 meaningful league games in a season and a few European matches
  22. Do have to wonder what the people that keep hiring the Bruce's, Pulis, Allardyces of the world see that millions of football fans cant. Every fan knows Allardyce will bore the hell out them, every fan knows Pulis will play 4 beast centre backs and rely on someone who can throw a football the length of the pitch, every fan knows Bruce will only take a team backwards and jump ship as soon as a better job comes along.... Unfortunately he's now in the best job he could hope to get, is making a royal balls up of it, so no better opportunity is likely
  23. Only managing a total of 10 shots on target across 5 games, loosing 4, whilst playing arguably the worst premiership team ever and never having any control of possession in a single game all season should be enough to scare even the dumbest MD/Owner.....Newcastle... "Hold my beer"
  24. Quicker to just buy Leeds. Except Leeds don't offer the same package, nowhere near. Not this year or any other year. Delusional. What do NUFC have that Leeds cannot offer? Leeds have never averaged over 40k in their history. Until the 70’s they were a nothing club. In short they’ll never be as big as NUFC. Sorry but that is simply nonsense. Biggest club in Yorkshire, in a thriving & cosmopolitan city, with a history of winning trophies in the living memory of most people. Attendences count for nothing, especially since Leeds are hardly Wimbledon...they still have attracted pretty large crowds in all the time I have followed the game. At this rate they will be a bigger club than us in 5 months time, never mind never at all. Leeds are a club just waiting to take off. And if the Saudis or Qataris buy them & make them even remotely like Man City they will attract 50k crowds easily. We already attract 50k crowds. In the championship too. And? There seems to be a thought process going on here that, just because NUFC have more potential than Leeds, that somehow Leeds won't be a very attractive proposition to Saudi. Absolute delusion I'm afraid. Who actually said that? Teasy said a few pages back... "Leeds don't offer the same package, nowhere near. Not this year or any other year." To me that insinuated that Leeds are a far less atttractive proposition than NUFC, which simply isnt true. Do see Leeds as an attractive proposition for buyers, but NUFC does have some distinct advantages....only Premier League club within 80 miles in most directions, so a perception of a bigger catchment of fans as well as there only being 2 other 'big clubs anywhere near, and the relative lack of interest in the egg chacing which starts to happen when you get towards Leeds
  25. Probably. I mean Manchester United managed to take Shola Shoretire from under our noses. They took him directly from the academy, by giving his dad a 'job' so they'd move to Manchester. And it was Man City. Reading about it here. https://theathletic.co.uk/2198709/2021/01/13/man-city-soccer-football/ Yeah that seems very familiar. Usual story of just signing a player so others couldn't get him
